Quests, quests, quests

Engaging in quests within World of Warcraft (WoW) is a highly effective method for leveling up at a faster pace compared to simple monster grinding. Questing not only provides experience points but also rewards players with valuable gear upgrades along the way, making it a rewarding and efficient means of progression.

Quests in WoW are designed to provide an immersive and engaging experience for players. They often involve a storyline, requiring players to complete a series of tasks or solve challenges within the game world. These quests offer substantial amounts of experience points upon completion, allowing players to level up their characters more quickly compared to mindlessly grinding monsters.

World-of-Warcraft-Quests

One of the key advantages of questing is the additional rewards it offers. Alongside experience points, quests often provide players with gear upgrades as rewards. These upgrades can greatly enhance a player’s character, increasing their combat effectiveness and providing a sense of progression. Whether it’s a powerful weapon, a sturdy piece of armor, or a valuable accessory, these rewards help players stay equipped with the best-in-slot gear for their level.

In addition to experience points and gear upgrades, questing also offers other benefits. It allows players to explore the vast and immersive world of Azeroth, unraveling its lore, discovering hidden locations, and interacting with diverse NPCs and factions. This not only enriches the gameplay experience but also adds a sense of achievement and fulfillment as players uncover new areas and progress through intricate storylines.

Questing in WoW presents players with a structured and rewarding path to leveling up faster. By engaging in quests, players can earn substantial experience points, acquire valuable gear upgrades, and delve into the captivating lore of the game. This method of progression not only provides a more engaging gameplay experience but also contributes to a sense of accomplishment as players journey through Azeroth, becoming more powerful and capable adventurers.

World-of-Warcraft-Dungeons

Spam dungeons

Engaging in dungeons through the Dungeon Finder in World of Warcraft (WoW) is widely regarded as one of the most efficient ways to level up your character. It not only offers a swift progression but also ensures that your gear remains as strong as possible throughout the leveling process. Moreover, dungeon spamming provides a glimpse into the gameplay mechanics that await at higher levels.

The Dungeon Finder tool revolutionized the leveling experience in WoW by enabling players to easily group up with others and venture into instanced dungeons tailored for their level. Mastering the art of dungeon spamming involves repeatedly completing these dungeons in rapid succession, exploiting the short queue times provided by the Dungeon Finder.

This approach to leveling offers several advantages. First and foremost, dungeon spamming yields significant amounts of experience points per run, which allows for rapid character progression. Each completed dungeon rewards players with a substantial XP boost that greatly surpasses the experience gained from traditional questing or monster grinding.

Additionally, regularly participating in dungeons ensures that your character’s gear remains optimized throughout the leveling process. Dungeons drop a variety of equipment, including weapons, armor, and accessories, which are often superior to what can be obtained through other means. By spamming dungeons, you’ll be able to acquire powerful gear upgrades that enhance your character’s combat capabilities, ensuring a smoother and more effective leveling experience.

Furthermore, dungeon spamming serves as a preview of the gameplay dynamics that await at higher levels. Coordinating with a group, managing threat, and executing strategies against bosses are all fundamental aspects of endgame content. By familiarizing yourself with these mechanics during the leveling process, you’ll be better prepared for the challenges that lie ahead when you reach maximum level.

Dungeon spamming through the Dungeon Finder is widely recognized as one of the best methods for leveling up your character efficiently in WoW. It offers substantial experience points, allows for the acquisition of powerful gear upgrades, and provides a glimpse into the gameplay mechanics that define high-level content. Embrace this approach to maximize your character’s potential and progress swiftly towards becoming a formidable adventurer in Azeroth.

World-of-Warcraft

Get a boost

Opting for a Leveling Boost in World of Warcraft (WoW) can be an incredibly advantageous choice for players seeking a swift journey to higher levels. It stands out as the easiest and most efficient method for reaching the maximum level, surpassing the leveling efficiency of even the most skilled regular player across any class.

A leveling boost offers players the opportunity to instantly advance their character to a higher level, bypassing the early stages of the leveling process. This grants immediate access to more challenging content, advanced abilities, and a broader range of gameplay options.

WoW boost is particularly beneficial for players who have limited time or prefer to focus on endgame activities. It eliminates the need to spend hours grinding through low-level quests and mobs, allowing you to jump right into the more exciting and engaging aspects of the game.

Also, a booster, which is usually an experienced player with extensive knowledge of the game, knows the most efficient leveling routes, quest chains, and optimal strategies. With their expertise, they can guide your character through the leveling process with remarkable speed and effectiveness.

The efficiency of a leveling boost is not limited to specific classes or character archetypes. Whether you prefer a versatile spellcaster, a robust warrior, a stealthy rogue, or any other class, a booster can navigate through their respective leveling mechanics and optimize the experience gain accordingly.

By opting for a leveling boost, you embrace the opportunity to swiftly join the ranks of high-level players and immerse yourself in endgame content. The boost not only saves you time but also ensures that you can fully experience the more challenging and rewarding aspects of WoW. With a professional booster at your side, you can confidently explore the vast world of Azeroth and make rapid progress towards becoming a powerful and accomplished adventurer.

To sum up, a leveling boost in WoW is the easiest and most efficient way to rapidly progress your character to higher levels. It surpasses the leveling proficiency of regular players and grants immediate access to advanced content. With the guidance of a knowledgeable booster, you can navigate through any class with impressive speed and effectiveness, accelerating your journey towards the pinnacle of WoW’s endgame experience.

Over the entire existence of the gaming industry, there has been a huge leap forward.

  • The first games were just more about mindless gameplay, like the first Wolfenstein.
  • Then projects began to come out with mediocre graphics, but a good plot – Doom, Mafia.
  • There was an era of strategies with Starcraft, Edge of Empire, Cossacks.
  • The first RPGs appeared such as Diablo.
  • The release of the first MMO RPG – World of Warcraft.
  • Epic single-player games with a unique world – The Elders Scrolls series, the first Witcher.

The list is long and many of these massive games are sometimes so complicated that you might have to order professional boosting to help you in the game from companies such as Skycoach.

Consider the most iconic projects in all genres that you should try.

wow-shadowlands 2

World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft, one of the pioneering and most iconic MMO RPGs, has undergone numerous minor and major transformations over the years, evolving into the beloved WoW we know today. At the heart of this ‘new’ World of Warcraft lies the age-old conflict between the Horde and the Alliance, each boasting a roster of over 10 distinct races. This dynamic fosters a vibrant PvP scene, with battles for territory and sprawling battlegrounds, complemented by intense guild rivalries vying for recognition and the fastest raid completions.

Another key to its enduring popularity is the game’s rich array of mechanics, offering players the freedom to pursue their interests. Levelling up is just one aspect; you can opt to remain at level 40 and amass wealth that rivals that of level 70 heroes. WoW accommodates diverse playstyles, whether it’s questing, resource gathering, crafting, raiding, fishing, cooking, trading, or even dragon riding. Within guilds, you can ascend the ranks and compete, fostering friendly and fierce competition both within your faction and against rival factions, striving for prestigious titles and global recognition in the sprawling world of Azeroth.

witcher3

The Witcher 3 – Wild Hunt

For all fantasy enthusiasts who have delved into Andrzej Sapkowski’s books or simply adore captivating quest-based RPGs set in immersive, medieval-themed worlds infused with swords and sorcery, The Witcher series is a standout choice.

CD Projekt Red, in the eyes of many players, has crafted a masterpiece with a narrative that not only honors Sapkowski’s literary legacy by continuing Geralt’s saga but also weaves its own compelling tale that picks up seamlessly from where the books left off.

The project’s standout feature undoubtedly lies in its quests — grandiose events filled with dramatic highs and lows, each punctuated by impactful dialogue choices that profoundly influence the outcome. Certain events will undoubtedly test players’ nerves and challenge their moral compass.

In The Witcher, the player has the power to shape Geralt’s destiny. Whether you choose to embody the canonical Geralt, who often refrains from meddling in the affairs of common folk but remains the steadfast savior in times of crisis, or opt for a more ruthless path, wielding your sword readily in response to even the slightest provocations, the choice is yours.

You can also take on the role of a benevolent helper to the local Kmets, potentially bypassing the main storyline entirely. Instead, you can traverse the richly detailed districts with your trusty steed, Roach, aiding residents in need by vanquishing menacing monsters or relentless bandits, earning a living from your craft, or offering your services free of charge, showing kindness to the less fortunate.

skyrim-se

Elders Scrolls Skyrim

Skyrim, a part of Bethesda’s beloved Scrolls series, might not be its first installment, but it stands as the most ambitious and content-rich entry in the franchise. Thanks to a plethora of mods and graphical updates, it continues to captivate gamers even today.

Your journey commences as a prisoner caught in the act of illegally crossing the border, en route to your execution. However, an unexpected appearance by a dragon sets in motion a chain of events, granting you an unexpected shot at freedom and your first consequential choice: aligning with the Empire’s army or the rebel Stormcloaks.

The destiny of your hero rests squarely in your hands. Will you become a formidable battle mage, a supportive presence, a valiant knight, a frenzied berserker, a cunning archer, or a stealthy assassin skilled in dagger-wielding and poison? The choice is yours.

Skyrim’s expansive world encompasses over six diverse regions, each embroiled in the tumultuous conflict between the warring Stormcloaks. Your role in this strife is for you to determine, ultimately shaping the outcome of your adventure.

As the central narrative unfolds, a revelation awaits – you are the legendary dragon slayer, the Dovahkiin. Subsequently, you must harness this newfound power to confront an ancient dragon, one who paradoxically saved your life but now poses an existential threat to humanity.

COD-MW-2

Call of Duty series

Call of Duty is a treat for fans of grand cinematic shooters, boasting stunning visuals, special effects, and the immersive sensation of being a vital part of a massive army. This game will transport you across the battlefields of World War II and immerse you in the theatres of global conflict spanning the USA and Europe.

As you dive into the action, you’ll step into the boots of a US Army soldier during the pivotal Normandy landings, the valiant defense of Belgium, and the intense storming of the Pacific Islands. For the British, you’ll be liberating Africa by thwarting Rommel’s army, then marching into France. And, as part of the USSR army, you’ll tread through the historic battlegrounds of Stalingrad, Kursk, Kharkov, with your journey culminating in the heart of Berlin.

In 2004, Activision announced a reboot of the series, transitioning into fictional conflicts and the complex showdowns between terrorists and law enforcement agencies from around the globe. These tensions escalate into what’s deemed the third world war.

In this new era of the game, you’ll assume the roles of Special Operations soldiers, US Marines, and the legendary SAS operatives. Fans of the series will undoubtedly recognise Captain Price, a familiar face who’s graced every Call of Duty title.

Prepare for large-scale action sequences, drawing inspiration from the US-Russia conflict doctrine. Invaders land on American soil, and it’s your solemn duty to defend your homeland and quell the escalating conflict.

The game delivers gripping battles spanning across France and Germany, daring incursions into Russian territory, clandestine missions, and epic confrontations. Plus, you’ll have the chance to take control of various types of equipment, including formidable tanks.

Each installment in the Modern Farfire series builds upon its predecessor, weaving a compelling overarching narrative with a dramatic edge.

For players who relish the covert and cerebral aspects of warfare, there’s the Black Ops series. It delves into the shadowy world of intelligence agencies and their agents, engaged in clandestine operations during various conflicts.

And for those who seek a different kind of challenge, there’s the Warzone mode. This battle royale experience, inspired by PUBG but infused with the trademark Call of Duty intensity, promises fast-paced action that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Globally, millions of people have fallen in love with the colourful and addicting gameplay of bubble shooter games. We go into the interesting world of Bubble Shooter, its genesis, and its enduring allure for players worldwide in this beloved hobby. Shooting bubbles to form clusters and score points in this retro puzzle game, influenced by “Puzzle Bobble,” is the objective. The game’s simple rules make it accessible to all players, and gamers keep playing it because it’s so addicting. Bubble Shooter has changed over the years with many modifications and mobile versions, but it continues to be a classic option for people looking for relaxation and interesting difficulties. Pop some bubbles for fun and find out what the appeal is about.

What is Bubble Shooter?

The arcade-style puzzle game Bubble Shooter first appeared on personal computers in the late 1990s and quickly gained popularity. It challenged players to clear vibrant bubble-filled boards by deftly shooting and matching bubbles to build clusters that explode with gratifying pops, similar to Taito Corporation’s “Puzzle Bobble” from 1994. Each successful burst resulted in points, encouraging participants to aim for ever-higher scores. Bubble Shooter quickly gained popularity because to its straightforward yet entertaining goal. Since the game’s humble beginnings, its popularity has skyrocketed, inspiring a variety of adaptations and mobile versions that continue to amaze and enthral players all over the world with the pleasant allure of bubble-popping pleasure.

bubble-shooter-game

Gameplay and Mechanics

Bubble Shooter has a surprisingly simple gameplay. Players seek to blast bubbles towards the top of the screen, where other bubbles have gathered, using a bubble launcher at the bottom of the screen. A considerable amount of the board may be cleared by matching three or more bubbles of the same colour, which causes a chain reaction and causes them to vanish. Predicting the direction of the bubble shoots, making well-thought-out actions, and aiming for those difficult-to-reach areas provide the difficulty.

The accessibility of Bubble Shooter is one factor in its lasting appeal. The game is accessible to all players, regardless of age or prior gaming knowledge. It offers the ideal combination between casual fun and interesting difficulties because to its uncomplicated physics and simple controls, which make it simple to comprehend yet challenging to master.

Addictive Nature

The success of Bubble Shooter is mostly due to how addicting it is. Incorporating the “easy to learn, hard to master” tenet, players are compelled to keep playing. Creating enormous bubble bursts and exceeding previous high scores provide players with a powerful feeling of success that motivates them to continue honing their abilities.

The game’s attractiveness is increased by its compelling design, which has bright components, brilliant colours, and relaxing sound effects. Players find it difficult to put down the game as a result of this exquisite mixture’s engrossing nature. Bubble Shooter is the perfect option for a short break or relaxing after a tough day thanks to its special capacity to reduce tension and provide a brief retreat.

Bubble Shooter’s appeal is enduring across age and cultural barriers as players continue to enjoy the delight of exploding bubbles. A worldwide community of bubble-popping aficionados who eagerly share the joy and excitement it has to offer has been formed as a result of this apparently simple game’s mesmerising charm, which has woven its way into the hearts of millions of people.

Variations and Evolution

Bubble Shooter has changed throughout time, spawning a number of variations and spin-offs. To make the gameplay more challenging and interesting, the designers included additional features, power-ups, and obstacles. For players looking for a more competitive experience, some versions incorporate restricted movements or time limits, which provide an additional element of complexity.

Bubble Shooter has successfully adapted to mobile platforms and has grown to be one of the most well-liked game categories on smartphones and tablets. Playing while on the move is more convenient, which has increased its popularity and player base.

Conclusion

Bubble Shooter is a time-tested classic that has endured. It is a wonderful option for both casual players and ardent puzzle aficionados due to its simple gameplay, addictiveness, and colourful appearance. Whether you want to relax and unwind or use your strategic thinking, Bubble Shooter is a cosy and pleasurable experience. So why persist? Explore the fascinating bubble-bursting fun world by giving it a try!

With so many to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to start, but fear not – I’ve put together a list of the best Disney games available on Xbox, complete with my personal recommendations.

Best Disney Games on Xbox

Disney-games on xbox

Disney Pixar Rush

One of my personal favourites, Disney Pixar Rush is a game that allows players to experience the worlds of some of their favourite Pixar movies. From Toy Story to The Incredibles, players can race through levels, completing challenges and collecting coins along the way. The game’s premise of a place where children can play make-believe adventures with friends is fantastic as it opens up lots more stories within the Pixar universe. With vibrant graphics and a fun soundtrack, this game is perfect for both children and adults.

Disney-games on xbox

Disney Infinity 3.0

While Disney Infinity 3.0 is no longer playable online, it is still worth mentioning as one of the best Disney games on Xbox. The game was a combination of a sandbox game and a collectible figurine game, allowing players to explore various Disney and Marvel worlds with their favourite characters. The game also had a Toy Box mode where players could create their own worlds and share them with others. Although the online features are no longer available, the game still offers plenty of hours of fun for players who enjoy creating and exploring.

Kingdom Hearts III is a game that combines the worlds of Disney and Final Fantasy, creating a unique gaming experience. Players take on the role of Sora as he travels through various Disney worlds, fighting enemies and unlocking new abilities. If you’re a fan of both Disney and LEGO, then LEGO Disney Pirates of the Caribbean is the perfect game for you. Based on the hit movie franchise, this game allows players to explore the world of Pirates of the Caribbean in a fun and playful way. This is the definitive LEGO game that has been updated, overhauled and repackaged into Star Wars – The Skywalker Saga. This game includes all nine Skywalker Saga films, allowing players to relive the epic adventures of Anakin, Obiwan Luke, Leia, Han, and even Rey. The game features all the major planets from the films, and players can explore ruins, engage in space battles, and collect characters from the Star Wars universe. The game delivers on all counts with its trademark LEGO humour, great gameplay and myriad puzzles. It’s little wonder it made it into my top 10 Star Wars games on Xbox. top 10 Star Wars games on Xbox.

Disney’s Dreamlight Valley

Disney’s Dreamlight Valley is a game that is perfect for younger gamers who love Disney. It is one of the best Xbox games for children on the console. The game is beautiful to look at and will capture the attention of almost any gamer. With its inclusive character creator and variety of things for players to do you will be playing this game for months to come. The base package is a great price and the developers have been releasing regular updates from Frozen to Lion King. The Disney Classic Collection

If you’re a fan of Disney’s classic films, then The Disney Classic Collection is the game for you. This game includes remastered versions of classic Disney games such as Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Jungle Book. The games feature updated graphics, improved gameplay, and new bonus content. One of my personal favourites is Aladdin, which I played for many hours on my Sega Genesis console back in the 90s. Disney Games on Xbox

Whether you’re a long-time Disney fan or just looking for a fun and engaging game to play, these Disney games on Xbox are sure to provide hours of entertainment. If you are looking for something a little different, you could also check out Fantasia (better with an Xbox One Kinect) or Disneyland Adventures if you would like to explore the parks. Can you believe that ten years have passed since the release of Grand Theft Auto V, and yet it still manages to remain one of the most popular and talked-about video games of all time. With its immersive storyline, captivating gameplay, and stunning visuals, it’s no surprise that GTA V has become a household name among gamers and a record-breaking game.

According to Statista, In February 2023, GTA V sold over 175 million copies worldwide, making it the second-best-selling video game of all time, only behind Minecraft. Despite being released back in 2013, the game continues to receive regular updates and additions. But with GTA 6 now 18 months, I wanted to look at how the latest iteration of the game and how has changed for the latest gen consoles.

Los-Santos-Drug-Wars

The Los Santos Drug Wars

One of the standout features of the new Los Santos Drug Wars update is the addition of the Freakshop, a new social space that allows you to play the new First Dose Story Missions, store and upgrade your new Acid Lab Business, buy and update weapons, as well as various other activities. This update also includes six additional 1-4 player story missions and five new Fooligan tasks that you can unlock through “Dax” after finishing First Dose – Welcome to the Troupe.

The Acid Lab is a new business that players can manage once they complete the First Dose and steal the necessary lab equipment. They can install it in the rear of the new MTL Brickade 6×6 vehicle and unlock access to the Acid Lab business. Players can drive their Acid Lab while in Freemode and can launch source missions to gain supplies that will be turned into Acid products for players to sell. Acid Labs can also be given custom names, which adds a personalized touch to the gameplay.

The Los Santos Drug Wars update also brings eight new vehicles to the game, including the Mobile Acid Lab, Overflod Entity MT, muscle cars such as the Declasse Tulip M-100 and the Declasse Tahoma, Vans such as the Zirconium Journey II and BF Surfer Custom as well as the very cool Manchez Scout C Motorcycle. The Overflod Entity also comes with an HSW Upgrade that is only available on consoles.

In addition to the new vehicles (now at a massive 708 different vehicle types), the update includes hundreds of new pieces of male and female clothing and accessories, a new female hairstyle, and 39 unisex tattoos. The update also features several experience improvements, including visual, economy, and creator updates.

As a long-time fan of the Grand Theft Auto series, I have to say that the Los Santos Drug Wars update has been one of my favorites. The addition of the Acid Lab business adds a whole new level of depth to the game, and the new vehicles and customization options allow for even more creative gameplay. I also appreciate the regular updates and attention to detail that Rockstar Games continues to provide, even ten years after the initial release of the game.

Last year, Rockstar Games continued to release regular updates for Grand Theft Auto V, including the introduction of the Stunt Race Creator and the Casino Heist update. The Stunt Race Creator allows players to create and share custom stunt races, adding even more creativity and customization to the game. The Casino Heist update adds a new heist for players to complete, as well as several new vehicles, weapons, and customization options.

gta-5

Grand Theft Auto V – Premium Edition | The Next Gen Facelift

Grand Theft Auto V – Premium Edition came with the promise of hardware-accelerated ray tracing features that were too good to ignore, and I couldn’t wait to experience the game’s third generation of gaming hardware. With the new features added, I was curious about what the new version offers over existing versions of the game.

Improved User Experience

From the initial load the game jumps straight into the introductory videos and from there into the 60fps menus. The full frame-rate menus might not sound like a big deal, but they’re running at 30fps on last-gen consoles and even the PC version. Moving from the menu to the story mode takes around 20 seconds – far faster than previously when the same process takes two minutes and eight seconds.

Rendering Modes

Three rendering modes are on offer: fidelity at 4K30, performance at 1440p60, and performance RT, also at 1440p60. These high frame-rate modes are a huge improvement over the previous gen versions that were capped at 30fps instead. Whilst the older GTA V did suffer from a high input lag, the updated frame rate helps to fix this legacy issue.

Improved Image Processing

In the last generation of the game, motion blur was limited to camera-based effects with occasional per-object blur used in first-person mode. However, the newer version of the game now features per-object motion blur that is applied throughout the game. The effect is subtle at 60fps, but definitely more noticeable when playing in the 30fps fidelity mode, which massively improves the overall look of the game when compared to the last-gen version running at the same frame rate.

Along with improved motion blur, the new version of the game also features enhancements in image quality. When the game was released, it ran at about 1080p and used a basic FXAA-like post-process anti-aliasing effect that was common at the time. However, this then resulted in shimmering, dithering, and other stability issues. The updated versions of the game now include a temporal anti-aliasing solution that is more in line with today’s technology stack, similar to what was used in Red Dead 2. This has significantly reduced shimmering, dithering, and noise to the point where, in some ways, GTA5 at 1440p on consoles looks better than on a PC with native 4K resolution.

Ray Tracing

Of the two performance offerings, the ray tracing mode is an absolute must. Ray tracing is now used on all the shadows, and more specifically shadows cast by the sun. You may only notice it when it’s pointed out but the Ray tracing shadows significantly reduce graphical issues and mimics the properties of shadows in real life are more accurately. The ray-traced shadows also have this lovely softening so when the shadow the further an object, the more diffuse the effect.

Grand Theft Auto V is a high point in gaming history and its longevity is testament to its high quality. Its open-world design, engaging story, and plethora of activities have kept players (including me) coming back for more over the past ten years. The addition of Grand Theft Auto Online, with its constant updates and expansions, has only further cemented the game’s status as a cultural phenomenon.

Grand Theft Auto V – Premium Edition offers improved graphics, image processing, and user experience compared to the last-gen console version. The game’s higher frame-rate modes, image quality improvements, and ray tracing features make the game a whole new experience.

Looking back on the past ten years of Grand Theft Auto V, it’s clear that the game has had a significant impact on the video game industry and popular culture as a whole. Its legacy is sure to endure for many years to come, and even when GTA 6 is released, it will have big shoes to fill as it’s predecessor made history and earned a place in the record books.

As a huge fan of the Alien franchise, I am excited to share what we know so far about the upcoming game, Aliens: Dark Descent.

Aliens Dark Descent Release Date

Developed by Tindalos Interactive and Focus Entertainment in collaboration with 20th Century Studios, the game is set to launch worldwide on June 20, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Aliens Dark Descent

Storyline

Aliens: Dark Descent follows the story of a Colonial Marines detachment whose ship crashes into Planet Lethe, where they are forced to investigate a Xenomorph outbreak. The game promises an authentic Alien narrative full of sinister secrets, iconic Xenomorphs and brand new threats. Players will have to employ a range of tactical abilities to unravel the story and uncover the planet’s secrets.

Aliens Dark Descent

Aliens Dark Descent Gameplay

The first gameplay video for Aliens: Dark Descent was revealed in June 2022. It showed that the game is a strategic, real-time squad-based tactical action game, which is different from what was presented in the cinematic announcement trailer. Players take on the role of a squad commander with an isometric, overhead view, allowing them to survey the field. The game felt very similar to XCOM which wasn’t a bad thing.

Recruit, level up, and command your squad of Colonial Marines in real-time and as one unit with intuitive controls on both keyboard & mouse and controller. Players will need to use their wits to navigate expansive, persistent, and reactive levels and complete objectives. The game offers a bullet-time feature that slows down time enough for players to distribute commands like a pro. However, be cautious and monitor each Marine’s vitals – death is permanent for anyone who falls in combat.

Aliens Dark Descent

Graphics and Art Style

The game promises to be an impressive visual experience, thanks to the classic H.R Gieger art style. Aliens: Dark Descent promises to bring the franchise to life in a way never seen before with both original xenomorphs and some new creatures being added to the mix.

Aliens Dark Descent Trailer

Aliens: Dark Descent is shaping up to be a thrilling addition to the Alien franchise. Fans of the franchise can look forward to a cinematic, narrative campaign that promises to deliver an authentic Alien narrative full of sinister secrets, iconic Xenomorphs, and brand-new threats. Aliens: Dark Descent will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X when it launches on June 20, 2023.

Capcom is gearing up for the release of Resident Evil 4 Remake, which is just a month away. This time around, they have added some exciting new features, including fresh enemies like a bare-chested colossus with a buffalo head mask and new opponents to make it an experience full of surprises. The popularity of the game is comparable to Bitcoin online casino gaming.

New Enemies and Side Quests

The remake introduces new enemies, and players will have to navigate their way through them while enjoying the game’s casino slots and poker options. Game Informer reports that side quests have been added to Leon’s adventure, which can be triggered by blue flyers found around the village.

Changes to Ashley Graham’s Health Bar

Ashley Graham, the daughter of the President of the United States, will no longer have a health bar as she did in the original game. Instead, she will become weak when she’s hit too often. Players will need to heal her, but if they continue to hit her in this weakened state, she will eventually die.

No More Quick Time Events

Capcom has made significant changes to the game to improve it, including removing Quick Time Events (QTEs), which they consider to be outdated. In a new playable demo exclusively given to Game Informer, Capcom reveals that QTEs will no longer be part of the game.

Limited Life Span for the Knife

The knife now has a limited lifespan, meaning it breaks after being used. This is similar to Zelda Breath of the Wild. However, players will have the option to pick up several knives during the game.

re4-parry-

Resident Evil: From RE5 to RE7

Resident Evil 6 failed to please fans who were waiting for a return to the horror of the first games. The ratings were lower than expected, and Umbrella Corps was another low point. Capcom had to reflect and make a decision about Resident Evil, and they listened to the fans.

In 2016, Capcom revealed the new numbered title in the series: Resident Evil 7. With a new graphics engine built from scratch, the game took place in Louisiana and was rich in detail, with a sense of total vulnerability and scarcity of means to survive. The game brought back resource scarcity, limited inventory space, and persistent enemies, and players once again felt hope for the future of the series.

March is going to be an intense month, with the Resident Evil 4 Remake being launched just before the end of Capcom’s fiscal year. Whether players prefer playing popular Bitcoin live casino, the Resident Evil 4 Remake promises to be a thrilling experience full of surprises.

Visual effects are among the most important factors of ultra-realistic video games. These effects bring the immersion aspect to every of them. Visuals cooperate with gameplay creating a tandem for new technological boost.

However, if we look back we will observe that the industry of video gaming did not use to pay a lot of attention to profound improvements in precision in a year or a couple of them. At the same time, some games of those years were designed so well with advanced graphics and special effects, so it is difficult to catch up with how it was possible. There are plenty of such titles that are very similar to modern gaming representatives. We want to present you with four of them.

donkey kong

Donkey Kong Country – SNES

If you are looking for a retro but marvel-graphic video game you can try Donkey Kong Country. In this game, the main designer had made a decision to use pre-rendered visuals and found an option for compressing sprites. As a result, this game impresses with its sprites which are definitely one of the best-pre-rendered graphics. In addition, we want to mention that Donkey Kong Country is similar to PlayStation games even more than to Super Nintendo.

super mario 64

Super Mario 64 – N64

We can definitely say that Super Mario 64 is one of the games with perfect visuals. This game has outstanding and artistic graphics, and these were all in 1996.

How was it possible to create such a unique gaming representative in that year? Actually, the answer is very simple. The creative team used the graphical options of the Nintendo 64 and numerous 3D platforms. What is interesting, the 3D technology is so popular nowadays. You can find it even by visiting respectable casino online in Australia

far cry 1

Far Cry – PC

As no surprise, foliage, and greenery have been a huge difficulty for video gaming for many years. They were too fake or flat, so they even broke the factor of the immersion when your game hero was taken outside.

Everything changed in 2004 with Far Cry. This game was full of the perfect island surrounding. Nowadays, we can compare the graphics of this game and modern gaming variants. They are similar enough, believe us.

Red dead 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 – Xbox Series X

Truly speaking, it is difficult to find such a video gamer who has never heard about this amazing game. Red Dead Redemption 2 appeared in 2018, and since that time it holds the title of one of the best-looking gaming activities.

This incredible video game took a lot of time and money to develop. But it was worth it. The result of such a long development exceeded all expectations. This game has the realistic-looking environment of the Wild West. An accurate attitude toward every detail has brought endless opportunities for players finding new and new items to gush about.

RDR2 was a game with all the features of real life that was just replaced on device screens. We strongly believe that it will take ages while we will feel that this game feels dated.

If you’re a video game streamer, having the ultimate gaming setup is crucial. Not only does it improve the quality of your streams, but it also enhances your overall gaming experience. Creating the ultimate gaming setup can seem like a daunting task, but with a little bit of planning and creativity, it can be accomplished easily. In this article, we’ll be discussing some of the key elements to consider when creating your ultimate gaming setup.

Choosing a colour scheme

The colour scheme of your gaming setup plays a significant role in setting the mood and ambience of your space. You want to choose colours that are not only visually appealing but also help reduce eye fatigue during long gaming sessions. Dark colours such as black, grey, and blue are great choices, as they create a relaxing and immersive environment. I often find that a purple gaming setup is perferable.

Lighting

Lighting is an essential component of any gaming setup. You want to ensure that the lighting is not too bright or too dim. Proper lighting helps reduce eye strain and creates a comfortable atmosphere. You can use ambient lighting, such as LED strips, to enhance the mood and create a more immersive gaming experience.

Cable management

Cable management is often overlooked, but it is an essential part of any gaming setup. Proper cable management not only improves the aesthetic appeal of your setup but also reduces clutter and improves airflow. Use cable ties, clips, and channels to keep cables organized and tidy.

Equipment for synchronizing your PC

If you’re using multiple devices in your gaming setup, it’s essential to have equipment that allows them to synchronize seamlessly. Devices such as KVM switches and USB hubs make it easy to switch between multiple devices without unplugging cables constantly.

Monitors

The monitor is one of the most important components of any gaming setup. You want to choose a monitor that has a high refresh rate and low input lag. This ensures that your gaming experience is smooth and responsive. You may also want to consider the monitor’s size and resolution to ensure that it fits your gaming needs.

Sound

Sound is another critical component of any gaming setup. Invest in a high-quality headset or speaker system to enhance your gaming experience. You want to choose equipment that has excellent sound quality and noise-canceling features to reduce distractions.

Top 10 tips for getting the right look:

  1. Choose a colour scheme that suits your personality and enhances your gaming experience.
  2. Invest in proper lighting to create an immersive atmosphere.
  3. Use cable management to reduce clutter and improve airflow.
  4. Choose equipment that allows for easy synchronization between multiple devices.
  5. Select a monitor with a high refresh rate and low input lag.
  6. Invest in a high-quality headset or speaker system for better sound quality.
  7. Add ambient lighting, such as LED strips, to enhance the mood.
  8. Choose equipment that matches your gaming needs and preferences.
  9. Keep your setup tidy and organized for better performance.
  10. Take breaks to prevent eye fatigue and improve overall well-being.

Creating the ultimate gaming setup can be a fun and rewarding experience. It allows you to create a space that reflects your personality and gaming preferences. Remember to choose a colour scheme that suits your personality, invest in proper lighting, manage your cables, choose equipment that allows for easy synchronization, and invest in high-quality monitors and sound systems. With these tips in mind, you can create a gaming setup that will enhance your overall gaming experience and take your streams to the next level.

As a video game developer and gaming writer, I have had the opportunity to witness first-hand the incredible evolution of gaming graphics over the years. From the early days of pixelated characters and simple textures to the highly realistic, immersive worlds of today, the advancements in technology have truly transformed the gaming industry.

In the early days of gaming, graphics were limited by the technology available at the time. Pixels were large and blocky, and textures were simple and often repeated. The ZX Spectrum for example, released in 1982, was a popular 8-bit home computer that featured a unique graphics system. The machine used a custom-designed video display processor (VDP) called the ULA (Uncommitted Logic Array) to generate its graphics.

PaperBoy

The ULA was capable of displaying a maximum resolution of 256×192 pixels in 15 colors, although in practice, many games used lower resolutions to achieve better performance. The ULA could display two colors per 8×8 pixel block, and each block could be assigned its own color attributes, allowing for some basic graphical effects like shading and color gradients.

One limitation of the ULA was that it could only display a limited number of colors on screen at any given time, meaning that many games had to resort to color clash – a visual artifact where different colors would bleed into each other – to achieve more complex graphics. Despite this limitation, the ZX Spectrum was capable of producing some impressive visuals for its time, and its unique graphical style is still fondly remembered by retro gamers today.

As home computers got bigger and better, so did the number of colour and the resolution. However, as technology progressed, so did the capabilities of gaming graphics. The introduction of 3D graphics in the 1990s allowed for more realistic characters and environments, and the development of more powerful hardware allowed for even greater detail and realism.

The Nintendo 64, released in 1996, was a groundbreaking console that was one of the first to feature fully realized 3D graphics. The console used a custom-designed graphics processing unit (GPU) to render its 3D graphics.

starfox

The N64’s GPU was capable of rendering polygons, which are the building blocks of 3D graphics. The console could display up to 80,000 polygons per second, which was a significant improvement over previous consoles. The N64’s GPU also had the ability to apply texture mapping to polygons, which added detail and realism to the game’s environments and characters.

One of the most impressive features of the N64’s graphics system was its ability to smoothly render 3D environments without any slowdown or graphical glitches. The console achieved this by using a technique called z-buffering, which ensured that objects were rendered in the correct order, so there were no visual glitches or clipping issues.

The N64’s graphics system also supported advanced lighting effects, such as dynamic lighting, which allowed for realistic lighting effects that could change based on the game’s environment and time of day. Additionally, the console featured a built-in anti-aliasing filter that helped to smooth out jagged edges and make the graphics appear more polished.

The Nintendo 64’s 3D graphics system was a major breakthrough for its time and laid the foundation for the 3D graphics going forward.

With the advent of the 21st century, gaming graphics reached new heights with the introduction of high-definition (HD) graphics and the use of advanced techniques such as motion capture, real-time rendering, and physics-based simulations. These advancements allowed for games to feature hyper-realistic characters and environments, as well as more dynamic and engaging gameplay.

Recent years have seen the introduction of 4K and 8K resolution, ray tracing and other real-time rendering techniques like physically-based rendering, which enhance the realism of the games, the lighting, and the shadows. This makes the game world more believable and closer to the real world. This is also coupled with the use of VR technology which makes the gaming experience more immersive than ever before.

quake 2

One of the earliest video games to use ray tracing, real-time rendering, and enhanced lighting features was Quake II, released by id Software in 1997.

Quake II was a first-person shooter game that used ray tracing technology to create more realistic lighting and shadow effects. The game’s engine, known as the id Tech 2 engine, was capable of rendering real-time dynamic lighting and shadowing, which created a more immersive and realistic gameplay experience.

The game’s engine also supported advanced features such as colored lighting, which allowed for more complex and dynamic lighting effects. The use of these advanced lighting features was a significant leap forward for 3D gaming at the time, as they helped to create a more realistic and immersive gameplay experience.

It was also one of the first games to use hardware acceleration to achieve real-time rendering, which allowed for smoother gameplay and faster graphics performance. This made it possible for the game to run at higher resolutions and with more complex graphics than previous games.

Quake II was a major technological breakthrough for its time, and it paved the way for many of the advanced graphics technologies used in modern games.

cyberpunk-2077

As technology continues to advance and Gaming PCs get more powerful, we can expect to see even more incredible advancements in gaming graphics in the future. From virtual and augmented reality to photorealistic graphics, the possibilities are endless. As developers, we must continue to push the boundaries of what is possible, and strive to create the most immersive and realistic gaming experiences for players.

The evolution of gaming graphics has been an exciting journey, one that has brought us from simple, pixelated graphics to highly realistic and immersive worlds. As technology continues to evolve, we can look forward to even more incredible advancements in the future, and the opportunity to create truly breathtaking gaming experiences for players.

Milestone and Feld Motor Sports, Inc. have just released the latest trailer for (take a breath) Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6, and despite its stupidly long name, it’s all about fun and freedom. But it’s not just about the trailer, as the game is set to be released worldwide on March 9, 2023, on various platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam for Windows PC.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6

One of the exciting new features in this new chapter of the franchise is The Supercross Park. Players will enjoy a massive free-roaming environment where they can ride alone or with friends. The Supercross Park offers five different areas with huge jumps, original tracks, and plenty to explore. From darting through hangars and abandoned aircraft at the Airport to feeling like the champion of the arena at the Stadium, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to the free-roaming mode, the fifth area is inspired by the real-life FanFest and is designed to challenge players to take on dedicated missions that will get them ready for the competition. To help players improve their skills, Jeremy McGrath, the “King of Supercross” himself, will be the personal coach, hosting multiple quests to push both newcomers and experienced players beyond their limits. The Supercross Academy will also offer a series of interactive tutorials and challenges to ease the learning curve and speed up progress. Several new tools and settings are available to customize riding aids and find the bike configuration that best fits the player’s idea of fun.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6

For players looking to compete with friends, the Rhythm Attack game mode will spice up the fun. In this new head-to-head game mode, players will compete in quick 1v1 shootout races on a straight section. There are no turns or second chances, making it a high-octane experience in split-screen mode designed to engage all players in the name of pure speed.

Finally, the new Supercross 6 game (I can’t say it every time, without sounding like an advert) allows fans to share their passion for dirt bikes online. For the first time, full console cross-play enables online matchmaking across every console system, whereas with the helmet and track editor, riders can express their style and share their creations online, and cross-platform.

Get ready for an exciting ride as Supercross 6 hits stores worldwide on March 9, 2023, on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC®, and Steam.

Before you can start playing RimWorld, you need to set up your first colony. This chapter will cover the basics of creating a new game, selecting your starting conditions and characters, and understanding the different biomes and scenarios available.

RimWorld offers a range of difficulty levels, from the relatively easy “basebuilder” mode to the punishing “extreme” mode, which will challenge even the most experienced players. Choosing the right difficulty level and scenario for your playstyle is key to enjoying the game and learning its mechanics.

Understanding RimWorld’s Basic Mechanics

Once you have created your colony, it’s time to dive into the game’s basic mechanics. This chapter will cover the core gameplay concepts, including resource management, temperature and weather, mood and mental health, and combat.

RimWorld is a game that rewards careful planning and strategic thinking. Understanding how to manage your resources, prioritize tasks, and deal with emergencies will be crucial to your survival. You’ll also need to learn how to balance the needs and desires of your colonists, who will have their own personalities, skills, and quirks that can affect the colony’s success. Finally, combat is an integral part of RimWorld, and you’ll need to know how to equip your colonists and defend your colony from a range of threats, from raiders and bandits to manhunting animals and mechanoid attacks.

Managing Your Colonists

Your colonists are the heart of your RimWorld colony. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to manage their needs and skills, assign tasks, and deal with mental breakdowns and injuries.

Each colonist has a unique set of skills and traits that affect their abilities and mood. Assigning tasks that match their skills and passions can boost productivity and morale. However, it’s important to also balance their workloads and ensure they have enough rest and recreation time. Mental breakdowns can occur if a colonist’s mood drops too low, which can lead to dangerous or destructive behavior.

Its also important to have a medical plan in place, as injuries and illnesses can be common in RimWorld. Setting up a designated medical area with a bed, medicine, and a skilled doctor can save lives and prevent long-term damage.

Don’t forget to keep an eye on your colonists’ mental states and make sure they have plenty of opportunities to relax and have fun. Providing them with things like nice bedrooms, good food, and entertaining activities can go a long way towards keeping them happy and productive.

RimWorld-farming

Building and Expanding Your RimWorld Colony

Your colony will need to grow and expand in order to survive in RimWorld. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to build structures, mine resources, and manage power and water.

Building structures in RimWorld is done using a variety of materials, from wood and stone to steel and plasteel. Different materials have different strengths and weaknesses, and some are better suited for certain tasks than others. Mining resources can be done manually or with drills, and can yield valuable minerals like gold and silver, as well as building materials like steel and components.

Power and water are also important to consider when building and expanding your colony. Solar panels, wind turbines, and geothermal generators can provide power, while wells, rivers, and rainwater collectors can provide water. Planning out your power and water needs and building enough infrastructure to support them can help prevent emergencies and ensure your colony runs smoothly.

P.S. Expect the worst. When building your structures, be sure to consider defensive positions and chokepoints, which can help you fend off raiders and other threats. Building walls, turrets, and traps can also help protect your colony from attack.

Research and Technology in RimWorld

Technology plays a crucial role in RimWorld, allowing you to unlock new structures, weapons, and defenses. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to research new technologies, how to use workbenches and production facilities, and how to create and manage trade caravans.

Research in RimWorld is done using a ‘research bench’ and requires research points, which are gained over time or by completing certain tasks. Researching new technologies can unlock new structures, weapons, and production facilities, as well as providing valuable knowledge about the planet and its inhabitants.

Workbenches and production facilities allow you to craft a variety of items, from clothing and weapons to medicine and art. Each item requires different materials and skills, and some can be more valuable or useful than others. Trade caravans can be sent out to other settlements to buy and sell goods, allowing you to obtain rare items or sell excess goods.

When researching new technologies, be sure to prioritize those that will be most useful to your colony’s needs. Building a workshop or production facility near your research bench can also help speed up the production of new items. And when trading with other settlements, be sure to bring valuable items like gold or silver, as well as excess food and other goods.

Crafting and Production

In RimWorld, crafting and production play a significant role in your colony’s development. From weapons and armor to furniture and building materials, you’ll need a variety of crafted items to ensure your colony’s survival.

To get started, you’ll need to research different production technologies, such as smithing or tailoring, to unlock new crafting recipes. Once you have the necessary materials and a skilled crafter, you can begin producing items.

One important aspect of production is resource management. You’ll need to ensure that you have a steady supply of raw materials, such as steel, cloth, or wood, to fuel your production efforts. Consider setting up a mining operation, logging camp, or textile farm to ensure a reliable source of materials.

As you expand your production capabilities, you may also want to consider setting up a dedicated production area, such as a workshop or factory. This can help streamline your production process and increase your efficiency.

It’s also important to prioritize your production efforts based on your colony’s needs. Focus on producing essential items, such as weapons, armor, and medical supplies, before moving on to less critical items like art or furniture.

One useful strategy for production is to set up production chains, where the output of one production process is used as the input for another. For example, you can set up a tailoring operation that produces clothes, which can then be sold for a profit or used to outfit your colonists.

With proper planning and resource management, you can establish a thriving production system in RimWorld, ensuring that your colony has everything it needs to survive and thrive.

Farming and Food Production

In RimWorld, food production is a vital aspect of colony management. Without food, your colonists will starve and eventually die, so it’s important to understand how to set up a reliable food production system.

First, you’ll need to select a fertile patch of land to cultivate. You can grow a variety of crops, including corn, rice, potatoes, and berries, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. Some crops, such as corn, take longer to grow but provide more yield, while others like berries can be harvested quickly but require more frequent replanting.

You’ll also need to ensure that your crops are protected from animals and other potential threats. Consider building a fence or wall around your fields or setting up traps to deter predators.

To supplement your crops, you can also raise animals for meat, milk, and other products. Chickens and cows are popular choices for food production, but be aware that they require significant resources to maintain.

As your colony grows, you may also want to consider setting up a food preservation system to store excess food for times of scarcity. Options include refrigeration, smoking, and canning.

Top tip… When it comes to food production, efficiency is key. You can increase your yield by researching advanced farming techniques and using fertilizers and irrigation systems. Don’t forget to assign skilled growers to tend to your crops, as they will have a significant impact on your overall harvest. With proper planning and attention to detail, you can establish a thriving food production system in RimWorld.

Rimworld-Royalty

Combat and Defense in RimWorld

RimWorld is a dangerous place, with raiders, pirates, and even wild animals threatening your colony’s survival. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to defend your colony with weapons, traps, and defensive structures.

Weapons are an important part of your colony’s defense, ranging from simple melee weapons to high-powered rifles and shotguns. Different weapons have different ranges, accuracies, and damage outputs, so it’s important to equip your colonists with the best weapon for their skills and abilities.

Traps are another effective way to defend your colony, with options like spike traps, deadfall traps, and IEDs. These can be placed strategically to slow down or even kill raiders, giving your colonists time to mount a counterattack.

Finally, building defensive structures like walls, turrets, and embrasures can provide cover and protection for your colonists. These can be built using a variety of materials and can help funnel enemies into kill zones, making them easier to target.

It’s worth noting that when facing a raid or attack, it’s important to have a plan in place and coordinate your colonists’ actions. Consider assigning specific roles and areas of responsibility, such as a sniper on a high perch or a melee fighter in close combat. And always be sure to have a fallback plan in case things go wrong.

Rimworld-events

Events and Emergencies

RimWorld is full of unexpected events and emergencies, from solar flares and toxic fallout to manhunter packs and infestations. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to handle these events and keep your colony safe and stable.

Many events and emergencies can be prepared for in advance, such as by stockpiling food, medicine, and other essentials. Others may require quick thinking and improvisation, such as building temporary shelter during a heat wave or hunting animals during a food shortage.

It’s also important to pay attention to alerts and notifications, which can warn you of incoming events or issues. For example, a toxic fallout event can be deadly if your colonists are caught outside, while a manhunter pack can be dangerous if you don’t have enough weapons or traps to defend yourself.

As with real-life, always be prepared for emergencies and unexpected events, and have a backup plan in case things go wrong. Having a designated safe zone or shelter, as well as plenty of emergency supplies, can be a lifesaver in tough situations.

Exploration and Adventure

RimWorld is a vast and varied planet, with many opportunities for exploration and adventure. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to explore new areas, recruit new colonists, and complete quests and missions.

Exploration is a key part of RimWorld, as there are many valuable resources and opportunities to be found outside of your colony’s immediate area. Sending out caravans or scouting parties can help you find new settlements, trade opportunities, and valuable resources like ancient ruins or crashed spaceships.

Recruiting new colonists can also be done through exploration, as there are often other survivors on the planet who may be willing to join your colony. This can be done through persuasion or even force, depending on the situation and the individual.

Finally, completing quests and missions can provide valuable rewards and resources, as well as helping you gain valuable allies and influence on the planet. These can range from simple tasks like delivering supplies to complex missions like assaulting a rival faction’s stronghold.

When exploring new areas, be sure to bring enough supplies and equipment to handle unexpected events or emergencies. And when recruiting new colonists, be sure to consider their skills and traits, as well as their attitudes and opinions towards your existing colonists.

Research and Technology

RimWorld is a game that heavily relies on technology, so it’s important to stay up to date-with research and development. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to research new technologies, upgrade your equipment, and produce advanced items and structures.

Research is done through the research bench, which can be staffed by your colonists to unlock new technologies and upgrades. Each research project requires a certain amount of research points, which can be earned over time or through specific actions like crafting, construction, or killing enemies.

Upgrading your equipment is also important, as it can give your colonists an edge in combat and survival. This can be done through crafting or purchasing new weapons, armor, and other gear, as well as upgrading existing items with advanced materials or components.

Producing advanced items and structures can also be done through research, with options like hydroponics bays, turrets, and advanced power generators. These can help your colony become self-sufficient and prepare for long-term survival.

Hint: It’s important to prioritize research based on your colony’s needs and weaknesses. For example, if you’re struggling with food production, researching hydroponics bays or advanced cooking equipment can help solve the problem.

rimworld-trading

Trade and Diplomacy in RimWorld

Trade and diplomacy are important aspects of RimWorld, as they can provide valuable resources, information, and allies. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to trade with other factions, form alliances, and negotiate with rival groups.

Trading is done through the trade interface, where you can buy and sell goods with other factions in exchange for silver or other items. This can be a valuable way to acquire rare resources or items that you can’t produce yourself, as well as to sell off excess items or products.

Forming alliances and making friends can also be valuable, as it can provide you with valuable allies and resources. This can be done through gift-giving, completing quests for other factions, or even rescuing and healing their injured colonists.

Negotiating with rival factions can also be done, but it’s important to be careful and considerate when doing so. Demands, threats, and aggression can often backfire, while peaceful negotiations and compromise can often lead to better outcomes.

When trading, be sure to consider the value of the items you’re trading, as well as the long-term consequences of the deal. And when dealing with other factions, be sure to consider their motives, goals, and attitudes towards your own faction.

Endgame and Victory

RimWorld is a game with no set endgame or victory conditions, so it’s up to the player to decide when they’ve achieved their goals. In this chapter, we’ll cover some common endgame goals and victory conditions, as well as tips on achieving them.

Common endgame goals can include things like creating a self-sufficient colony, researching all technologies, or defeating all rival factions. Victory conditions can vary based on the game mode and settings, but often involve things like building a spaceship and escaping the planet, or achieving a certain level of wealth or power.

Tips for achieving these goals can vary, but often involve careful planning, strategic decision-making, and a bit of luck. For example, building a spaceship requires a lot of resources and advanced technology, so it’s important to plan and prioritize research and production accordingly.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things when it comes to achieving endgame goals. The beauty of RimWorld is that there’s no one right way to play the game, so feel free to take risks and try new strategies.

Rimworld-mods

Modding and Customization in RimWorld (Mostly PC)

RimWorld is a game that can be heavily customized and modded, making it a great way to personalize your gameplay experience. In this section, we’ll cover how to mod RimWorld, as well as some popular mods and customization options.

Modding RimWorld can be done through the Steam Workshop or by downloading and installing mods manually. There are countless mods available, ranging from small quality-of-life improvements to major overhauls that completely change the game. Some popular mods include the “EdB Prepare Carefully” mod, which allows players to customize their starting colonists, and the “Hospitality” mod, which adds the ability to host and entertain guests.

Customization options also exist within the base game, allowing players to adjust various game settings and options. These can include things like changing the difficulty level, adjusting the frequency of certain events, or even enabling or disabling certain gameplay mechanics.

Is RimWorld Multiplayer?

RimWorld can also be played in multiplayer mode, allowing you to team up with other players to survive and thrive on the Rim. In this chapter, we’ll cover how to play RimWorld in multiplayer mode, as well as some tips and strategies for working together effectively.

To play RimWorld in multiplayer mode, you’ll need to download a multiplayer mod and connect with other players online. Once connected, you can work together to build a colony, explore the Rim, and fend off rival factions.

To work effectively in multiplayer mode, communication is key. Be sure to discuss and delegate tasks, share resources and equipment, and coordinate attacks and defenses. It’s also important to be respectful of other players and their play styles, as well as to be mindful of your own actions and decisions.

When playing RimWorld in multiplayer mode, be sure to establish clear rules and expectations beforehand, and to communicate regularly throughout the game. And be sure to have fun and enjoy the experience of working together to survive on the Rim.

Troubleshooting and Technical Issues

Like any game, RimWorld can experience technical issues or bugs from time to time. In this chapter, we’ll cover some common technical issues and bugs, as well as some tips and strategies for troubleshooting and resolving them.

Common technical issues can include things like crashes, freezing, or performance issues. These can often be resolved by adjusting game settings, updating drivers or software, or even reinstalling the game. Bugs can also occur, ranging from small visual glitches to major gameplay issues. These can often be reported to the game developers, who may release patches or updates to address them.

Rimworld-combat

Advanced Tips and Tricks

In this final section, we’ll cover some advanced tips and tricks for RimWorld that can help you take your gameplay to the next level. These tips are aimed at experienced players who are looking for ways to optimize their colony and improve their survival skills.

One important tip is to focus on efficiency in all aspects of your colony, from resource gathering to production to defense. By minimizing waste and maximizing output, you can make the most of your limited resources and improve your chances of survival.

Another tip is to experiment with different play styles and strategies. RimWorld is a game that can be played in many different ways, and by trying out different approaches, you can discover new and creative ways to thrive on the Rim.

It’s also important to be prepared for unexpected events and emergencies, such as raids or natural disasters. By having backup plans and redundancies in place, you can be better equipped to handle whatever challenges come your way.

Finally, don’t be afraid to take risks and push the limits of what is possible in RimWorld. With its open-ended gameplay and endless possibilities, there’s always something new to discover and explore. So go out there and create your own unique story on the Rim.

Whether gamers feel like driving out their deepest existential fears in cathartic fashion or simply want to jump right in on some end-of-the-world action, the apocalypse theme makes for gripping gaming material. And the critical triumph of HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation might spark renewed interest in post-apocalyptic entries. From Horizon to Gears of War, not to mention the Last of Us saga, newcomers have a range of triple-A titles to explore.

But there is more to the genre than its biggest players, and a string of recent entries have taken a distinctive approach to the apocalyptic motif. So, are you ready to wander through the end of days? Brace yourself for these five unique post-apocalyptic tales.

sheltered

Sheltered

In Sheltered, you must protect your family at all costs, as you’ve all sought refuge in an underground bunker after a nuclear war erupted. While venturing into the bleak wasteland is perilous, you still need to provide for your family. So, face the poisonous atmosphere to scavenge precious supplies and gather resources to craft weapons for combat. You may even meet fellow survivors along your exploration. But don’t forget to maintain your home safe from hazards.

And as you try to come to terms with the dreary reality of this irradiated world, get ready to make hard decisions to keep your family alive and well. With its post-apocalyptic setting and survival mechanics, this survival strategy game compares to Frostpunk and Surviving the Aftermath. Yet its smaller scope makes this emotional journey a more personal, if not relatable experience.

Stray-Game

Stray

We all love cats. Cats are the cutest thing. Following a stray cat into the ramshackle underbelly of a mysterious cybercity is just the right recipe for cool and intriguing gameplay, then. With its neon-clad alleyways and cyberpunk aesthetics inspired by Hong Kong’s decaying Kowloon Walled City, Stray could fall into the steampunk category. But humankind has been grimly wiped off the map in Dead City, ruins swarming with robots and destructive mutant bacteria.

This unique adventure game takes you on a post-apocalyptic journey alongside an adorable kitten striving to get back to the surface and reunite with its cat family. So, climb obstacles and interact with your environment to unlock new paths. Solving puzzles will also get you to untangle the deep-lying mysteries of this time-forgotten walled city. If a little short-lived, Stray is an eerie and moving story-driven game with whimsical visuals, to boot.

fallout_shelter

Fallout Shelter

The Fallout series is to post-apocalyptic games what Super Mario is to platformers. But the franchise went in a different direction with this free-to-play construction and management sim. Fallout Shelter puts you in charge of managing an underground vault. Balancing resources like food, power, and water, you must see to the needs of your dwellers. Your citizens also crave some escapism to let off steam, from a bar to drink the day away to a gambling den.

Unlike most of its predecessors, though, Fallout Shelter doesn’t include any casino minigame. So, gamers scratching the itch to roll the dice can turn to online platforms. And in countries where land-based venues are scarce, like India, live dealer casinos bring it straight to gamblers at home. Live dealer games connect users with actual dealers and players through a video interface. Card games like poker and Blackjack unfold right in front of your eyes. Plus, video stream means that you can make sure the results are fair and square.

The-Long-Dark

The Long Dark

If you’re looking for a slightly more contemplative and melancholic spin on the post-apocalyptic genre, The Long Dark may be up your alley. This indie first-person game has you fighting for your life in a frozen environment. After a geomagnetic storm hits his plane, a pilot crash-lands in the Canadian wilderness. But resources are few and far between, and humans are all but gone.

You must therefore resist the bitter cold as much as the ferocious beasts lurking around. A single-player experience foremost, this atmospheric survival game also features an exploration-oriented mode to soak up the haunting beauty of its open world.

submerged

Submerged

The game is set in a dystopian future when global warming has flooded the world. Miku and her younger brother Taku drift into a city partially submerged beneath ocean water with only the tallest buildings protruding from the sea. The end of the world is not full of zombies or survivalists but small communities and people mutating to fit their new surroundings. Submerged is a non-combat third-person “relaxploration” adventure.

Miku can explore the city in her motorised fishing boat in search of supplies and players can scale buildings, search the dry tops of skyscrapers, or search parts of the submerged depths. The graphics in the sequel are a major step up but both games offer a unique experience in an eerily beautiful setting.

Post-apocalyptic games might rest on similar premises, but the above games stand out for their distinctiveness. Many more games are following their path, such as the Souls-like retelling of Pinocchio in a steampunk post-apocalyptic world, Lies of P. And with as many survival games as post-apocalyptic MMOs coming out in 2023, fans of the genre are up to a promising year.

How to Start Playing?

Warframe, in particular, can seem intimidating and overwhelming for new players. With a vast array of gameplay mechanics and endless possibilities, it can be hard to know where to start. By playing the game yourself you can understand the appeal and try to connect with your child with Warframe, instead of a straightforward ban.

To help guide you and your child through the early stages of Warframe, we’ve put together a beginner’s guide to Warframe to help you get started.

First Things First: The Star Chart

The Star Chart is the central hub for accessing missions in Warframe. It displays the different planets and celestial bodies of the Solar System and the tasks and resources available on them. To start, guide your child to the destinations with a glowing blue light. They’ll also need to defeat junction bosses, which can be challenging.

Encourage your child to unlock as many locations as possible, as this will give them access to resources that will aid them in crafting new weapons and Warframes.

Building Mastery: Items and Equipment

Mastery Rank (MR) is the primary progression system in Warframe. The higher it is, the more weapons and features become available to your child. To increase MR, your child can:

  • Build new weapons and use them in combat. Each mastery level earned grants 100 points, and by reaching level 30, your child will have earned 3000 MR points.
  • Defeat junction bosses, which will give them 1000 MR points.
  • Craft and level up new Warframes and companions.
  • Purchase blueprints from the market.

Blueprints are the plans for various in-game items like weapons, warframes, and equipment. Your child can earn them by purchasing them on the market console on their ship, defeating certain enemies and bosses, or, if they’re part of a clan, through replicating a researched technology from the Clan Dojo. These blueprints will help guide your child in deciding which items and frames to focus on, and in turn, shape their playstyle and progression.

Mod Management: Equipping and Upgrading

Mods are items that add various effects to your child’s weapons, warframes, and equipment to make them stronger. For example, certain mods can add a frost attack to a melee weapon, while others can increase damage. Encourage your child to learn how to combine and upgrade mods at the Mod Station in their ship. Fusing mods will make their effects more substantial, and they might even unlock new ones, like using cold and electricity damage to deal devastating damage to enemy shields.

Money Management: Platinum and Loot

Platinum is Warframe’s premium currency, and all players receive a free 50 upon starting. While it may be tempting to spend it right away, it’s best to save it and earn more through direct purchase or trading loot with other players.

Encourage your child to loot everything they can when on missions. Breaking down storage pods and harvesting any materials they come across may seem tedious, but it will help lessen the grind later on and make crafting items easier.

The Codex: A Guide on Your Child’s Ship

If your child needs help, encourage them to use the in-game Warframe Codex, which can be accessed on their ship. The Codex provides information about the world of Warframe, including where to harvest crafting materials, the various weapon types and much more. It’s a great tool for new players to learn more about the game and its mechanics.

Warframe can be a daunting game to start, but with a bit of guidance and persistence, your child will soon become familiar with the game’s mechanics and start to enjoy the endless possibilities.

Figment is a game that immerses players into a surreal and hand-painted world, akin to a Salvador Dali painting come to life. The game starts off with a car crash, heard but not seen, that sets the stage for a journey through the mind of a retired hero, Dusty. When Piper, an energetic bird, comes to ask for his help in restoring the courage that has been lost in the mind, Dusty sets off on an adventure to get his stolen scrapbook back and save the day once again.

Figment-steam-1

The visuals in Figment are nothing short of stunning, with each level and creature being uniquely hand-painted and colorful. The game’s sound design is equally impressive, with every trumpet flower and bug bridge having its own set of sounds and noises. The background music is ethereal and happy, fitting the game’s aesthetic perfectly. The game’s boss battles take it to a whole new level by turning into full-fledged musical numbers, with the bosses singing before battle.

As Dusty and Piper journey through the game, they explore both sides of the brain, solving puzzles along the way. The puzzles in Figment are a mix of logic and sequence-based puzzles that require the player to use objects to activate other objects and open areas. It’s best to play the game in large chunks, as taking extended breaks in the middle of a sequence may cause confusion.

Figment-steam-3

While replayability may be limited, players can go back to collect various “Remembranes” and other collectibles. After a five-hour playtime, I was happy to have enjoyed the story and the game’s charm. Figment may not have the same level of action as other games in the genre, but its pace and gentleness make it a great experience for younger players.

Figment-steam-4

Overall, Figment is a masterclass in subtlety and style, with its colorful characters, quirky puzzles, and surreal level design all supporting the game’s central theme of being inside a child’s mind. Another knockout game from Bedtime Games, Figment is a must-play for anyone looking for a unique and visually stunning experience.

Dragon Quest Treasures is the latest entry in the Dragon Quest series released in 2022. It was published by Square Enix and is currently only available on the Nintendo Switch. The plot follows Erik and Mia, and their companions Purrsula and Porcus, as they search for the seven mythical Dragonstones on the floating continent of Draconia.

It is a standalone game that does not require any previous knowledge of the Dragon Quest series, making it perfect for newcomers. However, fans of the series will appreciate the references to past games throughout the adventure.

And if you’re excited to try out this game then read on for our review of Dragon Quest Treasures.

Dragon-Quest-Treasures

Gameplay

The Dragon Quest series has been at the forefront of JRPGs for over 35 years and its latest addition, Treasures, is a spin-off from the mainline games. Featuring plenty of nostalgic elements that many will recognize, this entry still manages to be one of the most simplistic JRPG experiences available.

It is obviously geared more towards younger players and those new to the franchise and genre than veterans who may find its lack of challenge disappointing. At the heart of the story are Erik and Mia, who appeared in Dragon Quest XI; here they have taken on a more child-friendly appearance to fit in with the lighter tone of their treasure-hunting adventure.

Erik and Mia’s aim is to obtain rare treasures, and rewards come with them. In addition, taming new creatures is a vital part of the game. It involves scouting them after any random battle and paying their fee; each one asks for different items or gold. After these steps have been fulfilled, they accompany the siblings on their quest for riches.

Through the Fortune Finder skill, the siblings can take advantage of their monster allies’ view and find loot scattered around Draconia. Each species has a distinct vision – for example, a restless armor may be hindered by its visor.

As to the combat, it takes an action-based approach, wherein Erik or Mia can attack with their equipped weapon, while the monsters that are part of the team will automatically fight against any enemies and rival treasure hunters that may appear on the field.

The gameplay is straightforward and easy to pick up, but there are some interesting mechanics that make it more unique than your average RPG. This makes Dragon Quest Treasures a great option with some fun additions, perfect for players who enjoy progressive jackpots or strategy games with an extra edge. So, whether you’re a lover of the genre, or if you’re just looking for a fun game to play, check it out.

Graphics and Sound

Dragon Quest Treasures features a beautiful design that looks great both when played on the handheld console and when ported to the big screen. It is clear that the Nintendo Switch’s capabilities are put to good use, making the world of Dragon Quest come to life, with impressive visuals along with colorful characters and environments.

The game’s audio is also top-notch, with a catchy soundtrack and sound effects that add to the immersion. Overall, Dragon Quest Treasures is shaping up to be one of the best-looking and sounding RPGs available on the Switch and is definitely worth picking up.

Dragon-Quest-Treasures

The Good and The Bad

There’s a lot to like about Dragon Quest Treasures. Especially, if you’re a young player looking for an introduction to the world of role-playing games or just something laid-back to pass the time with, then this entry will not disappoint.

The game is stripped down to its basics, however, it contains all the charming characters and monsters that have made the series famous. Not only that, it has some fun nods to other titles in the franchise too, providing a distinct treasure-hunting focus.

Despite these positives, this title won’t pose much of a challenge for experienced players. And some may find its kid-friendly focus offputting.

Overall, the Dragon Quest Treasures release on Nintendo Switch was a mixed bag. There were some good things and some bad things about it. It’s still a solid entry in the series, but it doesn’t live up to the high standards set by its predecessors.

Conclusion

Dragon Quest Treasures is an exciting and entertaining title that offers a compelling story, fun characters, great visuals, and plenty of content to enjoy. It is the perfect option for those who are looking for a lighter-paced game that provides something more than just mindless button-mashing.

Whether you’re new to this specific series or have been a fan of classic JRPGs for years, this title should be at the top of your cozy wish list. You’ll find yourself quickly becoming immersed in its wonderful world as you make progress through its rewarding content!

Players in Escape from Tarkov have diverse strategies. While each player plays the game differently, you can study the most dangerous areas and avoid them.

Escape from Tarkov is hugely popular among millions of players worldwide, but not everyone has the skills to survive for long. To improve your experience and become a professional player, you can use the services of boosting companies, for example, https://skycoach.gg/. These companies offer services for various popular games, including Call of Duty, CS:GO, Overwatch, Apex Legends, and World of Warcraft. You can use their services to upgrade your character, get skins, buy in-game currency, and complete quests. In the following list, we will provide information on the most common strategies in Escape from Tarkov and discuss treatment methods and types of wounds.

Below, I have outlined the most common strategies in Escape from Tarkov, as well as discussed treatment methods and types of injuries.

escape-from-tarkov-axe

Strategies

Axe lover

Beginners in Escape from Tarkov often use axes. These players typically focus on looting, but some may attack and try to kill you before you have a chance to shoot them. To defend against these players, keep an eye on corners and clear rooms before entering them. If someone attacks, shoot at their legs to disable them. This will make it easier to finish them off. Do not panic. A skilled player using an axe will often attack when they think your magazine is empty, so it is best to save a few shots for this situation.

The Watchman

On some Escape from Tarkov maps particularly the Factory and the Forest, players may go to a location where new players are likely to appear and wait for them. To counter this strategy, you can download the map in offline mode before starting the game. This will make the location load faster.

If you find yourself in a dangerous location when you enter the game, set your fire mode to fully automatic and check how long the game has been going on. If the game has just started, it is advisable to run to a safer location. For example, if you are on the Forest map and appear in a red building, you should immediately run into the forest.

The attacker from behind

When playing in a team, some players may not start actively engaging in the game immediately. They may wait for their teammates to load before starting to play. Players who are well-equipped tend to move more slowly on the map compared to their lightly armed counterparts.

To avoid surprise attacks, it is important to constantly keep an eye on your surroundings, including your back. Your less mobile teammates may appear behind you at unexpected times. It is possible that you may be shooting at someone in front of you while a group of enemies attacks you from behind. To prevent this, stay alert and keep everything under control.

escape-from-tarkov-food

Treatment in Escape From Tarkov

Don’t eat

In this game, eating is not very important because food only replenishes energy and energy is consumed slowly enough that you probably won’t run out before the end of a raid. However, food can still help improve your metabolism.

Drinking during long raids

It is more important to drink during long raids because it replenishes the fluids in your body, which is especially important if you have a serious wound in your stomach that causes you to dehydrate.

Dealing with pain

If you are wounded in the game, your character will feel pain and the screen may become blurry for a short time. There are several ways to relieve pain, including taking painkillers like Analgin or using a Grizzly first aid kit. Fractures can also be a problem in the game, as they can reduce your speed or make it harder to aim.

Fractures

Fractures can be treated with a splint or a Grizzly first aid kit, but Analgin can also provide temporary relief. If you are shell-shocked, you may start to shake, but this can be relieved with painkillers like Analgin.

Black body parts

If any part of your body becomes severely shot and turns black, it can be difficult to recover and you may die if that body part is hit again. However, having a high level of health can increase your chances of survival and painkillers like Analgin or morphine can provide temporary relief. The Grizzly first aid kit does not work.

Shell shock

The shell-shocked fighter begins to shake and can last a few minutes. The shaking will pass by itself, but using painkillers will help it pass quicker. Analgin also helps with Shell Shock.

If you enjoy shooters, you will likely enjoy this game as well. You can find more information about sales and events on the official website of the game.

The ’90s was a wash with snowboarding games including Cool Boarders, SSX Tricky, Shawn White Snowboarding and 1080 Snowboarding, but more recently snowboarding games have been coupled with other sports such as skydiving and downhill cycling.

With the recent release of the hyperrealistic Shredders on Xbox and PC, I wanted to take a closer look at the current crop of snowboarding games and see which five are worth playing right now. So let’s start with Shredders.

shredders

Shredders

Shredders is a love letter to snowboarding. Trying to be the Skate to skateboarding games, Shredders goes for a more simulation feel, rather than an arcade trickfest. The graphics look stunning and carving down the open-world mountain feels fantastic. The flick-style controls will take some time to get used with one stick controlling your upper body, and the other controlling your legs. Eventually, these start to feel natural and you will be popping satisfying tricks from the wealth of kickers. The single-player campaign sees you and a cameraman working on a YouTube channel and working through a variety of tricks and scoring quests. The dialogue can sometimes be cringy, but it doesn’t take too long and afterward, you will have mastered most of the tricks. Some frame rate issues and screen tearing break the magic at times and multiplayer is hit-and-miss. Sometimes the world is empty and in need of NPC’s and when riding with friends the clips you create don’t capture your friends in the footage. Overall, it’s a solid snowboarding game that real-world boarders will appreciate as it’s hard work but captures the magic of the sport.

steep-snowboard

Steep

Steep has been a staple in my library for five years now and I still love it. The snow crunching sounds are just lush and whilst the graphics are starting to show their age, they still work really well. There are three mountains to explore and whilst the snowboarding is the most fun, you can dip into skiing and flying for a break. Playing with friends is a must as levels are huge allowing you to ride ahead and capture your friend’s tricks as the jump houses or flip-over kickers. The characters are fully customisable and each rider can show their style on the mountain. There is an in-game currency and plenty of DLC should you want to extend the game even further. A fantastic game that I still enjoy today.

Riders_Republic

Riders Republic

Riders Republic is so much fun, it should be illegal. Riders Repulic is a highly polished game that has an arcade style all its own. The tricks are ridiculous and the speed is intense, but it sometimes forces you to play other sports such as rocket wings when you would rather stay grounded. The 64-person races are so much fun as there are always people to compete with. What you lose in simulation, you make up for in the sheer amount of content. Whether you want to board, bike, ski, drive or just run about, Riders Republic is unadulterated fun with so much to do. With Year 2 now confirmed, we can expect four more seasons with new events, new brand partnerships, and perhaps even the addition of skateboarding.

infinite-air-with-mark-mcmorris

Infinite Air with Mark McMorris

Coming out at the same time as Steep, Infinite Air got a little lost at the time, but over time has grown its own following. The gameplay feels somewhere between arcade and simulation and whilst it works, it would have benefited by picking a camp. Alongside steep, the world looks blander but it’s the world editor that really sets this apart. Infinite Air’s enhanced world editor allows players to create custom parks for complete immersion into the sport of snowboarding. Players can build their ultimate runs with jumps, cliffs, rails, ramps, and countless other items. Once created, you can share the parks with your friends and compete amongst yourselves. Great fun for those that enjoy the building side of snow sports.

grand-mountain-adventure-wonderlands

Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands

When you consider that Grand Mountain Adventure was made by a team of just two developers, you can appreciate the amount of love and attention that went into this game. There are 12 resorts to unlock and explore and the gameplay is calm and relaxing. The unusual element of this snowboarding game is the overhead perspective. The tiny border may be challenging to control at first but once you have the hang of the controls, it’s a fun ride down the mountains. Well-paced progression unlocks ski passes those open new areas and the competition system works well. The camera angle can sometimes get annoying and won’t be for everyone but it gave me a nostalgic feeling of Paperboy, which was great.

So there you have it, five fantastic snowboarding games that you can play right now. Which are your favourite snowboarding games, add them to the comments below.

Roblox is a popular online platform that allows users to create and play games, as well as interact with each other. While it is generally a safe and fun place to be, there are unfortunately some individuals who try to take advantage of other users by scamming them. Here are some common scams to be aware of and how to avoid them:

  1. Phishing scams: These scams involve someone trying to trick you into giving them your personal information, such as your login credentials or credit card details, by pretending to be a legitimate company or service. To avoid these scams, never click on links or enter your personal information in response to suspicious emails or messages.
  2. Game or item scams: Some individuals may try to scam you by offering fake or non-existent games or items in exchange for your Robux (the virtual currency used on Roblox). To avoid these scams, only purchase games or items from trusted sources and be wary of anyone offering unrealistic deals.
  3. Friend request scams: Some scammers may send you a friend request in order to gain access to your account or personal information. To avoid these scams, be cautious about accepting friend requests from people you don’t know, and be sure to set your account privacy settings to private.
  4. Roblox card scams: Some individuals may try to sell you fake Roblox cards or codes in exchange for real money. To avoid these scams, only purchase Roblox cards from trusted retailers and be wary of anyone offering discounted or “free” Roblox cards.

In general, it’s important to be cautious when interacting with others online, especially when it comes to sharing personal information or making purchases. If you ever feel unsure about a situation on Roblox, it’s best to err on the side of caution and avoid engaging with it. You can also report any suspicious activity to Roblox by using the “Report Abuse” feature located on the Roblox website and in the Roblox app.

Gaming is more than an activity. It’s a mega universe with different characters, issues, and worlds in it. There are game planets we know more of, but at the same time, there are galaxies of undiscovered games that we still haven’t explored or located yet. This article fixes on the game worlds that we recognize, and namely, the opportunities they offer.

In case you’re interested in other gaming galaxies and smaller planets, you should check out one of the fastest-growing digital marketplaces for gamers – Eneba. From old and vintage video games to the newest monthly gaming treasures. No matter if you own PS2 or PS5 – you’ll find everything you’re lacking. All are comprised in one place – online.

No matter what game you’re into

The fact that the best video games are free, one can argue, is sort of a myth. If you have played any free title, usually it’s an upgrade, and additional in-game items are definitely not given for free. Want more, be better, faster, and stronger? You’ll have to find a way to get there.  Either by gaming hard or shopping wisely.

Shopping wisely is not as bad as it sounds. In fact, it saves you time first of all. Instead of trying to gain as many XPs as you can for years, save some excess lunch money and get items you want for free now. Another option you have is to get a gift card from the many you’ve saved up for gaming. That also will save you loads of time.

Gifts are made for sharing

Pretty much all video games have produced their own gift cards. Purchasing one is good for a number of reasons. First of all, it doesn’t even have to be used individually, you can get one for your close gamer friend or relative as a gift alternative. That’s why they’re called gift cards, dugh! You see that your friend is struggling with V-Bucks? Help him out with a Fortnite V-Bucks card on his birthday!

Gift cards are a conventional gift since they show your knowledge of the receiver’s interests. However, they are not too specific in their choice. The gamer has the freedom to choose how he uses his V-Bucks. It can be used for skins, wraps, or Battle Passes. So, a Fortnite enthusiast will find a way how to use his gift card.

Fortnite_Mobile_interface

Gain more and save money wisely

The gift card choices are not exclusively limited to Fortnite or Roblox. First-person shooters, adventure, and racing titles are all involved in the production of gift cards. So gift cards from Minecraft and Roblox to League of Legends and GTA 5 Shark cards are available online now if, by any chance, you’re interested in getting one ASAP.

Holding a game card is a smart way to control your finances. Set a budget limit for your gift card and dedicate a time period during which you’re planning to use its savings. This way, you’ll omit unnecessary spending day-by-day or week-by-week basis. Besides, it’s much more comfortable to have a gift card as your wallet instead of making different payments on the platform.

Choices for console gaming

Don’t know what game you’re into? That’s not a problem. Some gamers prefer platform gaming over choosing specific titles. Although Xbox Game Pass or PS Plus triers are also good solutions to consider, gift cards also can serve as the keys to unlocking diverse titles and platform services. Grab a PS or an Xbox digital gift card, and you’ll be able to discover the unexplored gaming worlds.

Giving out gift cards is fun, but let’s be honest, receiving them is much more amusing! Need a Christmas Secret Santa exchange idea? There you have one! Surprise a gamer with a specific-themed gift card of his favorite platform or titles. Gather with other gamers in digital gaming marketplaces, and cherish your victories together!

Licensed games are usually based on movies, tv shows, and toys. Games such as Minecraft, Roblox, or Spyro were games first so they are not included in this list.

To help you choose a game for your children, I have outlined 25 licensed video games for children out on consoles. I have added a list below in no particular order with jump links to each game or ease of use. Let’s get started.

Xbox Kids Games

Addams family- Mansion Mayhem

Addams family: Mansion Mayhem

Addams Family is a simple and fun game for the whole family. With four-player couch co-op and easy-to-defeat enemies, young children will have a blast working through the levels either alone or with the rest of the family. The game won’t feel revolutionary for adults playing together and the levels get a bit samey but it’s easy to pick up and play and kids will enjoy the simplicity.

4/5

Hotel Transylvania- Scary Tale Adventures

Hotel Transylvania: Scary Tale Adventures

In Hotel Transylvania: Scary-Tales Adventures, you take control of Drac and Mavis and play through various fairy tale worlds with their own spooky spin. From Little Red Riding Hood to Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves each level is easily recognizable but can take up to half an hour to complete. The game is very repetitive but still fun. However, those under 7’s will struggle and the long levels with no save means you have to commit serious time to complete each level.

3/5

Hotel Transylvania 3- Monsters Overboard

Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard

Released alongside the movie, you play Drac and Mavis on a mission to save the other monsters from three desert islands. Using little monster minions called impas, you direct your miniature helpers to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. Overall, the game can be fun at times, but the constant struggles with the controls will frustrate many. For those familiar with Nintendo’s Pikmin, this is a substandard clone.

1/5

Spirit- Lucky’s Big Adventure

Spirit: Lucky’s Big Adventure

For fans of the TV show and recent movie, Spirit is a happy-go-lucky adventure in a bright and colourful world. After finding her mother’s treasure map, Lucky rides across the world completing a series of quests to unlock new areas and additional outfits. Riding across the open plains is wonderful, but when you are in more confined spaces, the controls become cumbersome and frustrating. Fans of the show will enjoy it but horse fans may get more fun from Horse Club Adventures.

3/5

Dragons- Dawn of the New Riders

Dragons: Dawn of the New Riders

This game bravely carves its own path by not following any of the movies, instead, tell a new story about a young rider with amnesia and his new dragon Patch. The gameplay is mainly a dungeon crawler with some simple puzzles. During the periodic combat sequences, the battles are clunky and slow and the ranged attacks from Patch are rarely accurate. The new story was a great idea but doesn’t really go anywhere or add to the Dragons canon.

1/5

Ben 10- Power Trip

Ben 10: Power Trip

There have been two Ben 10 games on this generation’s consoles that actually play very differently. The first game sees Ben 10 in a 3D side-scrolling beat em up whereas Ben 10 Power Trip is more of an open-world adventure. Out of the two, I would recommend Ben 10: Power Trip as it plays really well, has a fantastic open world with plenty of side quests and the two-player split screen means a friend or sibling can play as Ben’s frenemy Kevin 11.

5/5

Rabbids- Party of Legends

Rabbids: Party of Legends

Rabbids is a solid Mario party clone with a lot of endearing features. For those not familiar with the party game genre, Rabbids is a game in which 1-4 players compete in various mini-games to earn books and become to ultimate champion. The mini-games are generally longer than those in Mario Party giving players more engagement in each activity. The wheel spin and stealing mechanics for players in last place help keep the playing field level and additional games and Rabbids are unlocked through player progression. It’s really fun with friends in couch co-op but the single-player experience is a little limited.

3/5

Blaze and the Monster Machines

Blaze and the Monster Machines

With its big chunky cartoon graphics and wealth of character voices, Blaze and the Moster Machines is a great introductory game to the world of video game racing. The auto drive feature means it is great for children under 7 and the four-player local coop is good for sharing with friends. The different characters are represented well with each having their own special ability from Blaze’s nitro boost to Watts’ electro boost. However, with only 10 standard-looking tracks, the appeal is limited and children more familiar with driving games may want more.

2/5

Paw Patrol The Movie- Adventure City Calls

Paw Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls

There are at least three Paw Patrol games out on consoles, Paw Patrol: On A Roll (terrible), Paw Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay (ok) and Adventure City Calls (better). In short, go for Adventure City Calls as it is the best of the three and has the biggest world to explore. As the movie introduced a new character, this game also has the biggest roster of playable characters, all with voice acting from the characters. The game can be played in local coop with family members and the variety of missions and vehicle levels keep it interesting for young players.

3/5

Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom

Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom

Last Kids on Earth is a top-down beat-em-up with light RPG elements. Players can either go it alone or team up with four friends in local co-op mode. The fighting mechanics are solid and don’t feel too repetitive while the upgrade system doesn’t do much apart from increasing bonus points. Single players can switch between the two ranged and two melee-focused characters by using the various phone booths littered across the levels. The graphics match the cartoon series perfectly which much of the audio lifted directly from the show. However, the game is criminally short and can be completed in under 4 hours. Some side quests to help to flesh it out but I would have liked more.

4/5

miraculous

Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx

Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx has huge ambitions with its fully explorable Paris setting, rooftop parkour, multi-goon fighting mechanics, and two-player action. However, slowdown and graphical issues do break the magic a little. Fans of the show will happily look past these glitches to enjoy a game packed with macaron collecting, hero upgrades, and de-evilizing. The gameplay is generally very forgiving for younger players and the voice and music is absolutely fantastic. Younger players will need help with the six end-of-level bosses when the difficulty really ramps up but the two-player option means that it is a great game to play with your children.

4/5

PJ Masks: Heroes of the Night

With 12 reasonably sized levels, easy and repetitive gameplay, PJ Masks: Heroes of the Night is great for young children who are fans of the show. The voice actors of both the heroes and villian reprised their roles and all contributed original voices for the game. Whilst for some, the constant voice guidance may be annoying, it helps keep young minds focused on the task at hand. Each level plays exactly the same, so whether you are a fan of Gecko, Owlet, or Catboy, each hero gets 33% of each level to climb walls, fly around, or double-jump over difficult obstacles. The vehicle levels break up the platforming action and the controls are so simplistic, it is impossible to go wrong.

4/5

my-friend-peppa-pig-game_8

My Friend Peppa Pig

My friend Peppa pig is a great introduction into video games teaching young children about the fun you can create pressing buttons. Right from the start screen players feel like part of a brand-new episode. From the character creation in the beginning to jumping in muddy puddles with Pippa at the end, the game is short, and simple but young fans of the show will be happy to jump back in. Whilst most of the voice acting is done by the cast, there is the new Peppa and a couple of changes that ‘hardcore’ fans of the show will notice but overall it was like Dragons Lair for a newer younger generation.

4/5 for new gamers
2/5 for experienced gamers

Ice Age- Scrats Nutty Adventure

Ice Age: Scrats Nutty Adventure

The true hero of the Ice Age saga has finally got his own video game and it sees Scrat platform his way through Ice fields, ice caves, and even a lost world collecting crystal acorns across 12 fun-filled levels. Sadly, the lack of cut scenes, various glitches, and some horrible camera angles mean that it can be both fun and frustrating in the same play-through. Scats Nutty Adventure is mediocre at best and a missed opportunity for a fun character that totally deserves better.

1/5

Jumanji- The Video Game

Jumanji: The Video Game

The video game of a movie about a video game that was a board game in a movie. Jumanji uses the characters and settings of the 2017 film in a third-person shooting/fighting game. Players can team up with four friends in local co-op or play online. Players run and gun through various maze-like levels fighting and shooting goons and natives to collect four pieces of a jewel. Once collected, they move into a safe room before tackling the next level. The game is nothing like the films but it’s simple enough to battle through with friends. Achievements come thick and fast but the gameplay soon becomes repetitive. It’s a bit of fun but don’t expect it to be anything like the films.

2/5

teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-shredders-revenge

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a lovingly crafted homage of the TMNT arcade beat-em-up. Its 6-player co-op is fantastic with friends and the gameplay is simple to pick up but with lots to master. The nostalgic pixel aesthetic will resonate with parents as they bash through the whole game in a single sitting with the family. Whilst the level design can get a little samey, the range of characters, fighting mechanics, and fantastic music will keep you playing. A must for any big family looking for a game everyone can play.

5/5

DC League of Super Pets

DC League of Super Pets

DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace might will not be the game you expect as it involves Krypto and Ace flying through Metropolis is a star-fox-inspired shoot-em-up. Using Krypto’s eye lasers and Ace’s batarangs, the two fly through 15 levels trying to save the city’s lost pets from the evil Lex Luthor. The graphics look great and calling upon PB (Wonder Woman’s pig), Merton (Flash’s tortoise) or Chip (Green Lantern’s cat) is great. Sadly, the lack of enemy variety, repetitive level design (it’s always Metropolis), and hard-to-handle controls mean that only super fans of the movie need apply.

2/5

LOL surprise BBS Born to Travel

L.O.L surprise! BBS Born to Travel

The LOL game is a lightweight version of Overcooked as it sees the Dolls packing and making the L.O.L balls that the toys usually come in. By using the right mix of sunshine, stars, and hearts, you fill each complicated little ball before sending them out into the world. The intricate recipes are complicated for the target age group but the lack of a time limit does make it easier. Up to four players can team up to work through the various levels that get more and more complicated with lifts and platforms. Players unlock new dolls and accessories and can update their character throughout. The music and fashion mini-games between levels add a little more to the mix but feel bolted on compared to the main game. Fans of the dolls may need parental help to complete but it’s interesting enough when playing with friends.

3/5

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3- Slime Speedway

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway

If Mario Kart holds the top spot when it comes to Kart Racers, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is definitely second place. With over 40 characters, tonnes of weapons, hundreds of unlockables, and a massive variety of tracks, Slime Speedway actually outperforms Mario Kart in all but one department: accessibility. The sheer wealth of options can mean jumping into a multiplayer game is not a quick affair. These options are fantastic in the single-player mode, but when you want to do a four-player couch co-op or 12-player online play, there are so many choices. For Xbox owners, Slime Speedway is the best kart racer on the platform.

5/5

JoJo Siwa Worldwide Party

JoJo Siwa Worldwide Party

Don’t let the name fool you. This is not a party game, instead, Jo Jo Siwa Worldwide Party is a mix of an endless runner with a rhythm game. Jo Jo runs across 12 levels jumping, sliding, and bashing her way through 4 of her big hits. Jumps and bashes need to be in time with the music to keep your speed and unlock bonus items. In between each song you can unlock makeup, clothes, and obviously bows to enhance your character. Whilst the game is quite fun, it feels stretched out to make a full game. The 4 songs have 4 variations from instrumental to full-blown concert variations, but it would have been nice to have a few more songs. With no multiplayer and limited appeal, this one is only for the fans.

1/5

Horse Club Adventures 2- Hazelwood Stories

Horse Club Adventures 2: Hazelwood Stories

Horse Club Adventures 2 is an open-world horse riding game based on the popular toys from Schleich. Players can create their own horse and take part in an array of horse-related disciplines from dressage to show jumping. Players are given tasks by the inhabitants of Hazelwood that include working on the farm to taking photographs of local wildlife. You will need to feed and clean your horse throughout and unlock new gear to enhance the speed, endurance and agility of your pony. Some riders may be annoyed by the invisible barriers in the ‘open world’ but with lots to do and no pressures, this is a fantastic game for pony fans.

4/5

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley takes the tried and tested formulas of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing and sprinkles on some Disney Magic. After moving to the valley, Players must befriend and help the various inhabitants with quests, errands, and tasks. From mining valuable resources to simply having a picnic with Mickey to cheer him up, there is so much here for Disney fans to enjoy. The graphics and voice acting are fantastic and there is new content being added regularly. Sadly, there is a lot of grinding to be done to earn the in-game currency and lots of microtransactions such you want to skip the grind.

5/5

Lego Starwars - Skywalker Saga

Lego Star Wars – The Skywalker Saga

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a mammoth beat of a game with over 300 characters, 45 levels, and over 1000 collectibles, this game will keep players busy for a very long time. Add to that the various DLC packs for The Madolorian and Rogue One and you have a game that is fantastic value for money. The graphics are the best yet in a Lego game and it uses all the iconic music and sound found in the nine movies. Some levels are more memorable than others and those that have played any of the previous Lego Star Wars games will recognize many of the levels. but with improved graphics and gameplay, this is one not to be missed.

5/5

Bratz - flaunt your fashion

Bratz – Flaunt Your Fashion

Play as your favorite Bratz character and begin your globe-trotting adventure to become the world’s best fashion reporter. Blaze a trail as you chase the biggest style stories, take on quests to help new friends, and play various minigames in order to unlock the latest scoop for Bratz Magazine. The in-game currency can be used for new outfits, characters, and even scooters. The semi-open world is fun to run however many of the characters just stand in one place waiting to be talked to making it feel a little static. However, the variety of activities and the solid voice acting make this a great all-rounder for fans of the show.

4/5

Dragons- Legends of the Nine Realms

Dragons: Legends of the Nine Realms is a dragon-focused adventure that is equal parts combat and exploration. The journey takes you across five worlds, each with five levels (the last level per world being a boss battle with a dragon many times your size). The vibrant and chunky levels are fun to explore and fly around and switching between the different dragons like Wu and Wei when Skrills appeared, or Thunder for some of the larger dragons is easy enough. Collectibles allow you to purchase character upgrades such as new combos and new skins and whilst it annoyingly has no two-player option, it’s fun to play and easy for children to complete.

Gaming has become a go-to past-time activity as video games have evolved far beyond the point-and-shoot and run-and-jump concept. They tell gripping stories, let us explore marvelous worlds, and help us leave our daily struggles behind for at least a few hours. But when you take a look at what video games are coming out, especially during the so-called high season, there are overwhelming numbers to pick from. As good as variety is, it takes a huge toll on your wallet. Unless you’re some millionaire, how can you afford to play at least a few of them?

The answer may be simpler than you’ve imagined. For one, you can find great deals on games at digital marketplaces like Eneba. Here, older games cost as low as 90% off, and new ones – at least 10-20% less. Another one is subscriptions.

A monthly fee for over a hundred games

Wanting to play as many games as possible is normal for any gamer. However, most of the time, we are limited by the budget we can dedicate to gaming. Big-name games like Gotham Knights, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Scorn, and A Plague Tale: Requiem were released in October alone. How many of these games did you want to play, and how many you actually played? Choosing the right game to spend your money on is a struggle. Well, you can forget about it!

Subscription plans like Xbox Game Pass are a lifesaver, especially when you have to juggle all adult responsibilities and set aside a budget for your favorite hobby. Xbox Game Pass offers you over a hundred games for a small monthly fee. Choose any game and play it. Didn’t like it? Play another! The best part is that you won’t experience buyer’s remorse on the games you didn’t enjoy. Moreover, for Xbox owners, Microsoft adds Xbox exclusives to their service on the day of the game’s release. That means – you don’t have to buy new games.

As for games that aren’t on the Xbox Game Pass – the money you save not buying every single game, you can spend on that one you’ve been waiting for. Subscription-based services are a huge money saver and worth every gamer’s attention.

But maybe you’re not interested in unfolding stories or traveling to other galaxies. Maybe you want to get the boys together for some R6 Siege? In that case, you know that the Xbox Gold membership is an essential subscription for you. Whatever your goals in gaming are – you can find a cheaper option to enjoy as many games as you want.

Gift cards have their own benefits

Digital marketplaces can offer you quite a lot of money-saving alternatives. You can find various game points and gift cards that make your life easier. Gift cards, especially, can cost less and offer more monetary value than you pay for. Some, like Razer Gold, even have a reward program that awards you with Silver currency. You can then spend Silver on various in-game items, subscriptions, and even gaming accessories.

Yes, studios release uncountable amounts of games monthly, and your wallet could easily claim that there are too many. Nonetheless, digital marketplaces like Eneba are here to ease the burden of spending too much on video games. Be it a subscription, numerous gift card options, or simply – cheaper digital game keys. You just need to find the best money-saving option for you.

With COVID now a fading memory, 2022 saw sports come back with a bang, alongside some amazing updates to established sporting titles. Throw into the mix a few new sporting games and you have a fantastic year for sports games. From frisbees to fishing and balls of all shapes and sizes, here are the five biggest sports games of 2022.

fifa2022

FIFA 2022

The HyperMotion technology is the biggest gameplay change we’ve seen in the FIFA series for over a decade and adds thousands of new animations and smoother gameplay throughout. The VOLTA is fantastic in multiplayer and the Career mode has a treasure trove of new options. The FIFA Ultimate Team has loads of new features that include upgraded concepts like Division Rivals and FUT Champions, the new collector mode now welcomes some club customization. There are ways to play FIFA with a no-money-spent approach, but it does take patience and discipline. For those looking to get a boost, you can either spend real money or get FIFA 22 coins from online retailers. Overall, the gameplay updates alone give this game a spot in the top five and whilst the VOLTA and Career modes could be improved further, this game is simply amazing.

NBA-2K23

NBA 2K23

The graphics in NBA 2K23 are just gorgeous as the players run around the court in glorious 4K, dribbling and dunking looks amazing. The gameplay is fluid but complex as it is built for the basketball afficiado rather than the fairweather gamer. The addition of the Jordan Challenge giving you access to the great man himself and the My Career mode is a massive RPG allowing you to skateboard around town, attend interviews and even manage your social media. The whole package is massive at 150GB but is great value as there is so much on offer.

f1-manager

F1 Manager 2022

Race weekends have never been so exciting. In F1 Manager 2022, the races are beautifully presented with lifelike visuals that make it look like you are watching a race on TV. However Influencing the behaviour of your drivers is crucial if you want to drive your team to victory. From pit strategies to mid race tyre wear, this solid F1 managemenet sim is a fantastic entry into the genre from Frontier Developments. Whether you want to micro-manage every little variable or simply make grand changes and see how it pans out, you will need patience and focus to rise through the rankings.

Shredders

Shredder is a brand-new snowboarding game with a focus on realism. You won’t find insane spinning or near-limitless rail riding here. Shredders allow players to control both the upper body and lower body in a whole new way. The result is a fluid and satisfying snowboarding game that goes back to basic to deliver a heartfelt love letter to the sport. Many will find the controls jarring at first but once you have it, landing those complicated tricks feels all that more rewarding.

Madden NFL 23

Not only does Madden NFL 23 have stunning graphics, but it’s wonderfully accessible, and works well if you are new to the sport or a die-hard football fan. Playing in either Arcade mode or simulation, Madden NFL makes the game feel fast, frenetic, and strategic. The new passing mechanic ‘Field-sense’ can be turned off for players used to the older style but the new system works really well with a bit of practice. The Franchise Mode gives you full control of the business, making all of the decisions for your team. It can be a bit of a slog but it will keep you busy. The Ultimate Team mode is where you will spend most of your time as well as most of your money as earning Stars can unlock new players, packs, and tactics… or you can just buy them to improve faster.

Whilst the biggest sports games of 2022 might be the franchises you expected, I think it is worth giving an honourable mention to…

Call of the Wild: The Angler

The beautiful fishing game goes beyond the rod and allows players to drive the boat, and walk around the beautiful lakes and shores to find the best spots before stopping for some hardcore fishing. Whilst this is a niche sport, Call of the Wild must be applauded for its authenticity and fishing experience. The attention to detail with the tackle and fish is fantastic and the ambient soundscape adds to the overall immersion. Whilst the ability to see other players wander around and fish was amazing, the lack of interactivity with them was one of the only elements that let it down.

What was your favourite sports game of 2022? Add them to the comments below.

Macs are not number one on the list of gamers. However, gaming on Mac has improved vastly, thanks to the release of macOS Ventura. The new OS update is bringing more focus on gaming on MacBooks with the launch of Metal 3. Metal is Apple’s graphic framework, allowing it to deeply tap into the device’s GPU. In addition, Ventura enables the use of buddy controllers so that two controllers are used in tandem for an improved gaming experience.

Since Apple has committed to starting afresh and making significant changes in the gaming arena, Mac users can rejoice and look forward to a fun-filled time with their friends and family. Here are some fantastic games you can play right now on your system.

stardew-valley

Stardew Valley

Eric Barone was highly disappointed with the Harvest Moon series he once adored. That’s why he took it upon himself to design a farming simulation game, and the result was Stardew Valley.

The game arrived with gorgeous retro-inspired sprites, combat, marriage, charming characters, and plenty of post-launch support. The game is much more than a farming simulator; players can even role-play with various characters leveling up in different areas like mining and fishing.

Players can personalize their characters’ professions and even unlock new areas while exploring dangerous caves filled with artifacts and monsters. The artifacts can be donated to the local museum.

Besides exploring, players customize their home and the surrounding farm to create a paradise.

Stardew Valley is one of the most-wanted macOS games, and it can also be played on a console.

hades

Hades

Hades was launched for macOS, Nintendo Switch, and Windows in 2022. Reviewers showered the game with critical accolades, and it received several Game of the Year awards.

Players are exposed to a rogue-lite journey during the game, where they have to go through the underworld. The journey is both punishing and gorgeous. Here, death never feels like the end because of the combat-worthy Supergiant Games’ pedigree.

Players tend to die a lot during the game, but it isn’t a frustrating experience. On the contrary, whenever there’s a game on the screen, it feels like a new opportunity.

disco-elysium

Disco Elysium

Disco Elysium is hailed as one of the best PC games, and players consider it one of the best games ever made. In addition, the game is available on macOS; if you have yet to try it out, you don’t know what you’re missing.

In the game, you will play as a drug and alcohol-addicted detective who wakes up in a motel with no memory. The trashed motel and the person hanging from a tree in the back do not make things easier for the character.

During the game, you must forge your path and investigate the murder however you see fit. You will be defining your identity during the process.

Each encounter during the game can be approached in any way you want. For example, you might want to sweet-talk the condescending motel clerk or gun him down so he unlocks the door in the back.

No matter what you decide, the game will progress around the decisions you have made, and it will create an unforgettable experience.

Sid Meiers Civilization VI

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI

If you have hundreds of free hours and want to utilize your time, you can check out Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. It is the newest entry in the 4X strategy series launched in 2016. The developers of Firaxis have been supplying a steady stream of updates and content through 2021 to help players stay engaged.

Players can even use expansion packs and DLC that added climate change, dark ages, a battle royale mode, and even the undead.

The game is highly addictive and satisfying that you may find yourself engaged for hours.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Shadow of the Tomb Raider brings Lara Croft’s new origin story to a conclusion. In this game, players are taken along a classic adventure that’s compelling and highly exciting.

Adventurer Lara Croft goes through Central America and Mexico, where she has to save the world from a potential apocalypse while confronting her role in destroying and preserving secret societies.

All three games in the series are available for you to play. So go to the Mac App Store and install it right away.

the witness

The Witness

The Witness is developed by the mastermind Jonathan Blow. The game pairs a beautiful, unique world filled with increasingly challenging puzzles and philosophical musings.

The puzzles in this game feel simple and force players to depend on previously learned strategies to compete against each other. It would be best if you had a keen eye and plenty of interest in exploration. However, the game will not frustrate you.

Which are your favorite games on MAC OS? Leave your suggestions in the comments below.

The first video games were revolutionary for the time, groundbreaking games of Tic Tac Toe and Tennis for Two. Compare that video game history now to the simplest modern-day mobile games, and it’s easy to see that leaps and bounds have been made in digital interactive entertainment, making it an industry bigger than sports and movies combined. According to a report by industry research firm SuperData, the gaming industry’s revenue increased by 12% in 2020, reaching $139.9 billion from $120.1 billion in 2019. Four out of every five persons in the United States have played a video game in the previous six months at one time last year.

Gaming will continue to grow and significantly impact global culture, which makes the question ‘What will video games be like in the future?’ exciting. Technologically, we are advancing more and more every day. Hence, it only stands to reason that the video game industry will be almost unrecognizable in the future as game development makes strides. Let’s take a look at some of the ways gaming will evolve.

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

Before we go any further, let’s first understand AR (augmented reality) is different from VR (virtual reality). While AR is based on the real world, VR gaming creates an alternate-world simulation that is computer-generated. With the help of specific equipment such as computers, sensors, headphones, and gloves, these immersive simulations may transport the player to any imaginable visual or geographical location. One of the current setbacks of playing VR games is the bulkiness of all the equipment, but with advancements in VR hardware and technology expected in the gaming industry in the future, this could change. Already there have been developments in making VR glasses lightweight, such as the MeganeX VR headset, which hopes to do away with the bulky VR box that must be strapped to your face.

Many future virtual reality hardware and technology advancements are expected in the gaming industry. Right now, haptic sensors are being tested for players to experience certain feelings while playing the game. In the future, we may see a more advanced version of eye-tracking and audio in these types of video games. The upgrading of the resolution would also be quite beneficial.

Augmented reality is a fun and immersive technology allowing gamers to interact with a digital world in a way that feels very real. AR is a technology that combines game graphics and audio content in real-time to make an artificial environment. Gaming systems, tablets, and smartphones can all be used to play video games with augmented reality, creating a truly immersive experience.

A big step in the future of gaming could be made if people could use augmented reality to play games. It’s easier to get into than virtual reality as it takes advantage of what is already there in the way of the physical world as it takes digital characters and places them in the real world. AR implants might let people play games just by looking at them. This could be done through AR implants. This feature of AR games will be changed in the next few years but now is not the time.

It seems that the future of New Zealand online gaming will have a mixed reality- introducing hyper-reality will revolutionize the gaming industry. Players can enjoy hyperreality on the go. It combines virtual and physical worlds. What the participants view in their headsets is based on their location. This is a step beyond or ahead of virtual reality. Players won’t need hardware anymore. The game would provide them with a fantastic physical experience.

FutureGaming

Cloud Gaming

A universal struggle amongst gamers would be how expensive it can be. This is to do with the actual hardware that affects processing and graphics, making some games impossible to play and enjoy without the proper hardware that allows for more processing power. Cloud gaming removes this obstacle without breaking the bank. The main idea is that the game engine is run on a powerful server, and the video stream is sent to any computer with an internet connection. As long as you have a PC at home, you can now stream games without a powerful computer to do the heavy lifting. So basically, streaming services, like Netflix, but for video games.

Many firms have tried to establish a mass-market cloud gaming solution over the last decade, but they were ahead of their time and infrastructure. Sony and Microsoft, longtime console gaming leaders, have just launched their own cloud gaming services. Nvidia has too, with Steam cloud Play in beta. Even Big Tech is joining in. Google launched Stadia in 2019. Amazon’s Luna cloud gaming service was established in 2020. It appears that even Netflix, which has solely made movies and TV episodes, is considering cloud gaming. The company recently hired a gaming VP to create games.

According to gaming analytics firm NewZoo, cloud gaming will generate $1.6 billion in revenue by the end of 2021 from over 23 million paying customers. Cloud gaming must genuinely become mainstream and provide players with a smooth, non-laggy gaming experience. And without a good WiFi connection, that’s hard to come by. A cloud gaming service is also expensive and computationally taxing. So perfecting technology will take time.

Mobile Gaming

Mobile phones have infiltrated every nook and cranny of the globe. This increases the potential for video games to expand and reach a wider audience. Network and telecommunications providers are working tirelessly to improve connectivity. Mobile gaming is already the largest sector in the industry, but what constitutes a mobile game is rapidly evolving. For decades, the majority of the top mobile games were completely different from the top games on other platforms. The lines blur as mobile devices become more powerful and console and PC game developers compete for a piece of the massive mobile market. Genshin Impact, one of the world’s most popular games, is available on mobile and console.

We will soon have faster uploads and downloads and better speed. In the future, we may see significant advancements in gaming apps that allow them to work on all mobile platforms.

Players will undoubtedly enjoy playing video games on their phones far more than now, especially since more PC games are being developed for mobile platforms. According to industry tracker Newzoo, the mobile gaming market generated $93.2 billion last year and accounted for 52% of the industry.

Many students have to deal with various academic assignments every week. Imagine that you need to craft an essay, and you even know your professor’s instructions. What if something prevents you from writing your paragraphs or articulating your thoughts? Perhaps you lack the inspiration and motivation to move forward. But how to find inspiration and start writing as quickly as possible? Maybe you should play video games. Such advice seems a little strange, but you have no idea how many positive emotions you will get! Here are the best games to get inspiration and improve your writing skills.

fallout-4

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is a great post-apocalyptic game about a nuclear apocalypse. China and the US exchanged nuclear strikes, destroying the world. Some people managed to hide in underground shelters. The main character was frozen due to an experiment and witnessed the abduction of his child. After defrosting, he needs to go to the radioactive wasteland to find his son and understand what happened to the world during his cryo sleep.

Retrofuturism and a gloomy post-apocalyptic world may seem gloomy, but you can’t even imagine how many positive emotions you can get during the game. Helping the survivors and learning the history of the world, you will understand that humanity will always find a way out of the most difficult situations, even if the nuclear apocalypse has become a reality. Surely a regular essay will not be a problem for you, and you will quickly find inspiration.

days-gone

Days Gone

Here is another great game that will not leave you indifferent. According to the plot, the world has fallen because of the zombie virus. Most of the people were infected. Big cities have become total cemeteries with millions of the walking dead. You are a biker who thinks he lost his wife during the attack on the medical camp. Now your goal is to find out the truth about the incident and find traces of your wife, given that you still doubt her death.

This plot is like a soap opera exactly until the moment when you see the beautiful landscapes of Montana, the vast expanses, and the top soundtrack. Music is what makes this game mesmerizing. In addition, the plot becomes extraordinary and even innovative as soon as you go through the prologue. This game will not leave you indifferent and will allow you to find inspiration for your academic routine.

At the same time, you should not forget that you always have alternative ways to cope with the writing routine. What if you decide to delegate some papers to experts? This solution will allow you to see how professional writers deal with academic papers. Look for honest 99 papers reviews, make lists of companies, and you will surely find someone who will craft the perfect assignment for you.

Ellie  - Last of Us

The Last of Us

The Last of Us is a masterpiece of the gaming industry for all time. Naughty Dog has created the perfect post-apocalyptic thriller with vibrant characters, a logical plot, and an amazing story of people who keep moving forward no matter what. The former world is destroyed, and people are forced to survive in safe zones. Unfortunately, the strange virus is transmitted through spores, and you can quickly become infected. According to the plot, the main character lost his daughter during the start of the epidemic, and now he has to lead the young girl through dangerous terrain.

This person is immune to the virus and can become a source for developing a vaccine. During a difficult journey, the main character must make difficult decisions and even risk his life because the young girl became his daughter. Such a story cannot leave you indifferent. Surely you will enjoy playing and get inspiration for further academic activities.

skyrim-horse

TES 5: Skyrim

Do you love magic, dragons, medieval battles, and an extraordinary plot? Then you should check TES 5: Skyrim because this game will blow your mind! You are a hero who miraculously escaped the death penalty and discovered in himself the powers that are inherent in ancient dragons. Moreover, now your task is to save the world from an ancient evil that wants to destroy all life.

On the one hand, this is a typical fantasy game, but not everything is as simple as it seems at first glance. Skyrim is a project that allows gamers to experience the freedom of action and non-linear storytelling. You can choose different factions and make any decisions. In other words, you don’t have to choose between good and bad answers. There is no classic good and evil here. You can do anything, but you must be prepared for the consequences. As you can see, such a game will teach you to understand the difference between words and actions. In addition, you will receive inspiration for academic activities.

Final Words

As you can see, quite a few games will help you get inspired and motivated to write your papers. Play games, explore worlds, and enjoy unconventional stories. Surely you will have a great time and get enough positive emotions to switch to an academic routine.

With Halloween fast approaching, I wanted to give my rundown of the scariest games of 2022. While the last one isn’t out until December, I can tell you know that it’s going to be scary, Whether you like jump scares, eerie silence or unbearable tension, this list of the scariest games of 2022 is sure to please. Which games in 2022 scared you the most?

Forgive Me Father – April 2022

The fast-paced Lovecraftian FPS feels like old-school doom with its 2D enemies and meaty weapons. The comic-book graphics and true-to-source characters give this a fantastic look and feel. The RPG skill tree is a great new addition to the genre and running through the darkly lit corridors and round blind corners is both very scary but lots of fun.

The-Quarry-Games

The Quarry – June 2022

When nine teenage counselors of Hackett’s Quarry throw a party to celebrate the end of summer things take a turn for the worst. Hunted by blood-drenched locals and something far more sinister, the teens’ party plans unravel into an unpredictable night of horror. Whilst The Quarry feels more like an interactive horror movie than an engaging game, the overall experience is equal parts scary and entertaining. Can you survive the night?

madison

Madison – July 2022

With an array of twisted puzzles to solve and a multitude of jump scares, unraveling the morbid central mystery of madison is a bit like trying to solve an escape room while simultaneously trying not to poo yourself from all the horrific things in there. Inspired by Hideo Kojima’s frightening demo PT, Madison tells the story of a young boy who wakes up in his house covered in blood and a malignant spirit roaming the rooms. Can you escape this psychological nightmare?

withering-rooms

Withering Rooms – October 2022

Withering Rooms is a 2.5D horror adventure set in a procedurally generated Victorian mansion that changes each night. The character designs for the array of inhabitants are haunting and hiding under a table whilst the faceless minions walking the corridors will certainly get your heart pumping. Whilst the animations of the main character is a little clunky, the rest of the visuals and the cacophony of eerie sounds and dialogue will certainly give you nightmares.

scorn

Scorn – October 2022

Just released this week, Scorn is straight out of the twisted mind of H.R Geiger. All the footage and gameplay look both mesmerizing and horrific at the same time. From the player’s shredded hands to the fleshy sacks that litter the levels, the whole game looks scary as hell and it is little wonder the Kickstarter was funded so quickly. If you are looking for a game that will give you nightmares this Halloween, Scorn is the game for you.

the-callisto-protocol

Callisto Protocol – December 2022

Callisto Protocol is a third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, players take on the role of Jacob Lee – a prisoner of the maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto. When the inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison becomes a terrifying nightmare. This pulse-pounding story is filled with unspeakable horrors and with creatures lurking around every corner, you may need some new underwear after playing this one.

Video games aren’t short of villains, but who do you think is the most twisted? Tis the season to be frightened so I put together my list of the five most psychotic and deranged video game characters ever to grace the screen.

joker

The Joker | Batman: Arkham Asylum

OK, so this one might be a little obvious, as the Joker was wacko WAYYYY before he made it into video games. But it was in Arkham Asylum and using the voice talents are Mark Hamill that really gave THIS Joker depth in his madness.

vaas

Vaas | Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 was a turning point for the series and something the franchise has tried to build on since. Vaas was brought to life by actor Michael Mando, who you may also know as Nacho Varga in Better Call Saul. Vaas is an iconic villain in gaming and as his twisted mind comes up with new and interesting ways to torture people, it’s horrible and grotesque and as sick as you like. But admit it… when he said “he’ll “give $10,000 to the first person to bring him Jason Brody’s nutsack.” You laughed…

baker-family

The Baker Family | Resident Evil 7

Resident Evil went back to basics after the Umbrella Saga, as faceless corporations just weren’t as scary as being trapped in a house with a bunch of flesh-eating crazies. After being infected and taken over by Eveline, most of the Baker family turned into highly sadistic killers whose nature became blatantly violent, deranged, and cannibalistic. Their erratic personalities and unpredictable nature kept players on edge as they chased you through the house, burst through walls, or simply sat with you eating bits of intestines.

trevor

Trevor Phillips – Grand Theft Auto V

Some people are born crazy, others have crazy thrust upon them. We meet Trevor during his violent, rude, completely irrational phase. A man who prides himself on having a successful career in crime but the more back story we get, the more we understand. Trevor’s life of care homes, correctional facilities, and foster parents was tough and broke what was already a pretty messed up kid. The end result was a complete psycho with no empathy for human life.

sander-cohen-1280

Sander Cohen – Bioshock

Sander Cohen is a crazy mix of Salvador Dali and Ghostface. As both a nightclub owner and art enthusiast, he is elegant, and classy but completely bonkers. This mix of his high brow and murderous nature is uncomfortable. Upon meeting him you witness a performance by a man plastered to a piano shortly before it explodes. From there it descends into madness. Waltz of the Flowers has never sounded so haunting.

So there you have it, my list of completely mad characters that you wouldn’t want to meet down a dark alley. Who would you add to the list, post them in the comments below.

The video game industry has become a worldwide juggernaut, both in terms of revenue it generates and the popularity it enjoys. While video games are a great hobby or pastime, they’re also psychologically beneficial. According to published research, 69% of the study’s participants experienced positive psychological outcomes as a result of playing video games. There are plenty of great benefits to playing video games besides learning as well:

  • Improved socialization skills
  • Improved motor skills
  • Improved memorization skills
  • Improved knowledge of various topics

Let’s take a closer look at how video games can help you learn so that you can better perform at other tasks such as studying, paper writing, or social interactions.

Better Research Abilities

Many video games will challenge you to solve complex puzzles to progress through them. You’ll often have to reference real-world resources found on the web to do so. This means that you’ll learn how to do independent research and find exactly what you need online on your own.

It can speed up and improve your paper writing process, especially for more complex academic assignments like research papers. You can also get your essay done for you when you’re short on time and need to hand in an important writing assignment fast. Playing video games is not only time well-spent, but it’ll also teach you the valuable skill of objective research.

Stimulated Creative Thinking

Video games are an amazing brain stimulant, no matter how old you are or what you do for a living. Puzzle games, adventure games, and more casual logic-based mobile games are great choices for creative thinking stimulation. The best way to play these games is with a clear mind and no online guides – simply let your mind do the thinking and take your time.

While it may take you a bit longer to solve logic puzzles and brain teasers, you’ll feel very accomplished once you overcome them. The brain activity you’ve stimulated while playing video games will seep into your academic assignments and studying, leading to better memorization, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking.

video-games

Quicker Problem-Solving

Given that many games rely on quick reaction time and time management, you’ll easily learn how to solve problems more efficiently by playing them. Games like Factorio and Kerbal Space Program are great at teaching you how to arrive from point A to point B on your roadmap by planning a few steps.

The same logic can be applied when you work on college papers, study for exams, or work on writing assignments. You can find research paper help online to quickly get your papers done if you’re too busy enjoying video games or working on other writing assignments. Quicker problem-solving will help you not only academically but also in other aspects of your life, such as hobbies, social activities, and house chores.

Faster Response Times

Playing action games, shooters, and fighting games can be just as beneficial for your learning as it can be fun to play these types of games. This is because you’ll develop more responsive reflexes, learn how to think on your feet, and boost your overall motor skills.

Depending on what you’re studying, you can benefit from better motor skills in your extracurricular activities such as sports, arts & crafts, and other activities relying on hand-eye coordination. You’ll also benefit greatly from educational games for faster response times during oral exams, presentations, and other academic social interactions.

Overcoming Failures

If there’s one thing video games are good at teaching you, it’s to overcome failures and rise again to address them. Games like Dark Souls and Dead Cells are known for their steep learning curves but also for their sense of achievement and satisfaction at overcoming their challenges.

By playing these and similar games, you’ll be able to learn how to learn from your mistakes, failures, and missteps, and grow from them as an individual. This is especially helpful when dealing with difficult college assignments and exams that will drain your energy. Start playing video games and keep the notion of overcoming their challenges in the back of your mind as you play.

Video Games as Learning Tools

Whether you’re an avid gamer or someone who casually plays mobile games, there’s a bit of something out there for everyone. Start by checking out some educational games and exploring what you can discover in the puzzle and adventure genres. You’d be surprised as to how many games are built with accessibility and casual enjoyment in mind these days – along the way, you’ll also learn valuable lessons by playing them.

Nothing beats the frantic fun of a couch coop party game. Whether you’re preparing food, dodging obstacles, or collecting gems, playing with friends and family in the same room is a very different experience from playing online. As you may already know from my previous party games post, I am a huge fan of the two games. As such, I wanted to share a few other party games that are similar to Overcooked but different enough to warrant a play.

moving out game

Moving Out

Moving out is a frantic four-player party game that sees a crew of movers empty the content of a house into the moving truck. Not only is it great fun throwing lamps out of the window or teaming up to tackle the heavy fridge but there is a level of skill involved as you need to ensure everything actually fits in the van. The game has the same colourful cartoon graphics as Overcooked and is just as fun.

catastronauts

Catastronauts

This sci-fi-themed panic fest sees up to 4 players form a crew of a small ship in the midst of a battle. Players must prime the laser cannons, fox the cracks, put out fires, and depose teleported in mines. The game is frantic fun but wickedly hard and requires teamwork and patience to work through the difficult levels. The characters can be customised into various star-trek-inspired tropes such as green-skinned aliens, cyborgs, or geek-like humans.

gang-beasts

Gang Beasts

Set in the mean streets of Beef City, Gang Beasts is a crazy multiplayer party game with jelly-baby-style characters and slapstick fight sequences all set in ridiculously hazardous environments. The objective is simple; knock your opponent to the ground and push or throw them out of the arena. If you are the last jelly baby standing, you win. But the fact that each character controls like a drunken toddler means it never always goes to plan.

minecraft-party-games

Minecraft

Beginners to Minecraft tend to see the game as a mining and building game in which you can create anything you can imagine out of the multitude of block types. Others see it as a survival game in which you test your might against the elements to gather, craft, and build. But many are surprised to hear that there are games upon games in which four or more people can team or go head to head in an array of party games. From gladiatorial arenas to a full-on Hunger Games experience.

big-crown-showdown

Big Crown Showdown

Four brave knights have been pulled away from the kingdom they once protected into a time vortex by an evil wizard. Returned 100 years later, they are dropped into a zany medieval game show and forced to compete to the death. Players must run, jump and push all whilst avoiding a multitude of traps, gaps, and enemies. The first to cross the finish line is crowned the ultimate Victor.

marooners-game

Marooners

Imagine playing a party game in which someone changes the game mid-action and then later returns to the game five games later. It is like Mario Party: Channel Surfer Edition. One minute you will be dodging falling boulders before being transported to a temple in which the ground is falling away. Each game plays out until there is a winner, but you only play a few seconds at one time before moving to the next game. Once all games have a winner, the overall winner is crowned. It’s mad and fun and a great game for the whole family.

out-of-space-game

Out of Space

Get together with friends and family, grab a mop and bucket and clean up an alien-infested space station. Out of Space is a sweet couch co-op game that sees players move from room to room, cleaning up, decorating, adding power, and recycling the alien vermin. station sizes grow as you progress and the array of different tools, furniture, and machine all serve a purpose from a shower that gives you water or washes the alien slime off your character, to a TV that gives you discounts off the latest bug-busting tools. The addition of a dog bed and dog is also a nice touch.

I love playing party games with family and friends and have lost many hours to the games above. If Overcooked is too stressful or if you need a break from restaurant life, the above games are different enough to be fresh but still hit the same notes as Overcooked.
